"In every competition since the dawning of time, some have always excelled. They exceed expectations and bypass the competition, leaving the weak in their wake. These men take what they want, when they want to and back down from no-one." answering a challenge and A new victim... The scene opens with a shot of Spike sitting in a black leather settee, wearing black denim jeans and a white t-shirt cut off at the shoulder. His arm is in a sling where he was injured from the ring post attack on Sunday Night Slam last week. His hair is tied back and pulled away from his face, exposing a large cut across his forehead caused by the chair shot that busted him wide open. He has a remote control in his other hand and points it towards the wide screen TV in the corner of the room and presses a button on it. He pauses the video that is playing and turns to face the camera. Spike: Mike, last week, you took me to my limit and the match could've gone either way. It was one-on-one, there was no interference and you won. To me, you might still be somewhere between vermin and garbage, but now you've earned my respect. I know that soon enough, I will get a re-match and rest assured Mike, I will be coming back for the title and last weeks match will be nothing compared to the re-match. Until then Mike, keep the belt warm for me, I'll be back real soon. Before I can do that though, it seems that I have some new business to take care of. Chris Bond, who in the hell do you think you are? What business did you have coming out to the ring and attacking me on Slam? Oh yeah, I forgot, you still think that your the main man around here don't you? You don't want me to be the man that is responsible for the downfall of the Regime do you? Well, I'm going to take out the last remaining piece of shit that made up the Regime, YOU! You say you want to fight me now Chris, well take a second to realise what you're doing. Look at this screen Chris, this is what you did last week. Spike motions over towards the television screen in the corner.
The camera turns back to Spike and he continues talking. Spike: You did that Chris, and you also did this to me. (Pointing to his shoulder) You really did a number on me Chris, and I bet you're really proud of that aren't you. Well whether I'm one hundred percent or not, by the time we get to Revolution I will be stepping into the ring with you and I will tear you apart and make you ever regret messing with me. As for the stipulation on the match, well, seeing as it's my choice, I'll get back to you on it. I don't want to rush my decision, I want this match to be pure hell for you so I'll take my time and ponder on which match would be the best to cause you some real damage. The match is set then Chris, the challenge has been accepted, get ready, it'll be a blood bath. Spike switches off the television and the VCR and tosses the remote on the sette next to him. He picks up another one and points it at the CD player in the corner, switching it on. After flicking through a few radio station, he puts on a Nirvana CD and settles on that. He looks back at the camera and starts to talk again. Spike: After such a brutal match last week and suffering an attack after the match, I get booked in another match this week, no recovery time, nothing. But that's fine with me. I'm not one to complain about ailments or injuries so I won't dwell on it. There is one thing I am concerned about though, the well-being of Ric Braddon. It'll only have been one week since he got his ass handed to him by Devin Hawk and now he's being thrown in the ring with me. Has he done something bad to the bookers? Do they have it out for him? After suffering an ass kicking like he did last week and then finding the same fate awaits him this week, his aspirations of being a superstar will be crushed. I'd never even heard of this guy before last week and to be honest, I don't think anyone will be hearing from him anytime soon. It's a shame to crush the guys hopes and dreams this quickly, but he's caught me at the wrong time. After losing the Provincial Heavyweight Title and being blindsided by Chris Bond all in one night, do you really think you're going to stand a chance against me. To say that I'm not in the best of moods is a monumental understatement. I'm not going to take pity on you or even give you the slightest chance of winning, it'll be a massacre. I don't think that anyone will blame you if you don't show up, in fact, it'll probably be in your best interest if you don't. I'm going to be looking at taking out my pent up anger and frustration out on someone real soon and unfortunately for you Ric, that someone is you. You're in the wrong place at the wrong time. All I can say is that you'd better start praying now, I may have my arm in a sling now, but when our match is over you're going to be the one that needs it. Get ready Ric, this week won't be a memorable one for me, but I'm going to give you a beating that you will never forget. Spike trails off as the scene slowly fades to black. |
