the crowning moment... The scene opens up with a shot of Spike sitting in a bay window looking outside. He is wearing his usual blue denim jeans with a black Mettalica t-shirt. He has got his hair pulled back into a ponytail and he is just gazing out of the window. The room is in complete darkness, except for the few shadows that are cast by the moonlight that is pouring through the window panes. After a few more moments of perfect silence, Spike begins to speak... Spike: There comes a time in everybody's life when they have to step up and take action. That time for me came a few weeks ago when I first became aware of the cancer in SCCW, the cancer known as the Regime. They are not the type of people that should be representing the company, they are the type of people to be exiled from the company. They attack in groups, take what isn't their and show no respect for anything or anyone. They do not deserve any recognition of any kind. I started to take action against them when myself and Wolf took the tag team titles from them. We had had enough of sitting on the sidelines watching as they destroyed one career after another. So we took action, and we were successful. We showed the Regime that they are not better than us and they cannot do what they like without eventually suffering the consequences. You see, I believe in Karma, what comes around goes around. That's why Ruler of the Ring will be a defining moment in SCCW, it'll be the Regimes dose of Instant Karma. In one night, they will suffer not one, not two but three championship losses. High Impact will be the source of this instant karma, and the Regime, well it'll be the final nail in their coffin. We are going to do what no-one else has been able to do and end the tyranny of the Regime this week. Spike turns around from looking out of the window and looks at the camera, the moonlight just catching the side of his face. Spike: Wolf and Gametime, they've got themselves covered, they're ready for the challenges that await them and they will prevail and so will I. It's not secret that not everyone thinks I will be able to get the job done this week, but that doesn't bother me. I mean, why would they think it, Sloppy Joe couldn't do it, Devin Hawk couldn't do it, so will I be any different? It's because I know that this will be the crowning moment of my SCCW career. Ending the reign of Midnight Felon will top off the already illustrious career that I have created. You see Felon, I am the Franchise of SCCW, everyone knows it. I've been here since day one and I'm only getting better. I'm going to prove to the entire world why I am worthy of being called the Franchise when I beat you at Ruler of the Ring, on my own, for the 1..2..3. Spike stands up and heads for the door of the room. He walks out the door and heads for the front door of the house. He opens it and goes outside, pausing for a moment to take a deep breath of fresh air. It's still warm outside after just having one of the hottest days of the year. He walks over to the front of the porch and stands on the top step of the steps leading down to the driveway. He looks down the street and it is deathly quite, almost eerie. Spike walks over to a small bench that is on the porch and sits down, putting his feet up on the small railings in front of him. Spike: Felon, it's safe to say that our match is going to more than just business. I know I feel that it is going to be personal and I'm sure you do as well. Why wouldn't you, every time it seems your 'dominance' is under threat, you call in the boys to help you out. So to me, that makes it seem personal. You gang attacked Sloppy and Devin and took them out permanently, but not this time. Your reign is under threat and you know it is, so yeah, I'm expecting to have to fight against the odds in this one, but that's okay. It'll just make the victory that much sweeter. When I beat you, whether I have to take out BBK, or SXP or Bond, or all of them in the process, it'll just make you realise that your not the biggest dog in the yard anymore. Who knows, it might even beg the question, have you ever been the biggest dog in the yard or is it just because I have let you think it until now? It's finally my time to step up and have a chance at the big time, and I'm telling you this now, I will not blow it. Chances like this don't come around every day, so you have to make the most of it. The only thing that makes it better is that I get to go up against you for the title Felon. Not only do I get a shot at the gold, but I get a shot at doing something that few, if anybody has ever done, beating Midnight Felon one-on-one. It sounds good doesn't it, well soon enough, it will become a reality. Spike pauses for a moment as a car races down the road. The loud exhaust ruining the silence of the still night. Once the car has gone far enough away so that it can no longer be heard, Spike continues. Spike: When I sit down and think about this match, I know, deep down, I know that it won't be for the faint of heart. I know it won't be a technical battle, it'll be a bloodbath. And you know why I know that Felon? It's because I won't stop until I see that you are left a bloody heap, a shell of your former self, a beaten, crippled man. I may not be the type of person who cheats to win matches and who cheap shots people to get the job done, but this week, I just don't care. I'm going to show you the same amount of respect and sportsmanship as you have shown everyone else around here. None. If I have to beat you to within an inch of your life to win, then so be it. Regardless of the consequences, regardless of the repercussions, I will do it. Anything you can think of that could happen in that ring on Sunday, probably will happen. There's no doubt about it Felon, your a good wrestler, when you want to be, but this week, I'm going to show you that I'm just that bit better. After Ruler of the Ring, you won't be untouchable, you won't be unbeatable, you'll be just another victim. Spikes words, seeming more of a promise than a threat, are the last thing that is heard as the camera slowly fades to black. |
