For the Provincial Title

from one title to another...

The scene opens up with a shot of the inside of the door of the High Impact locker room, moments after the tag team title match on Sunday Night Slam.  The door flies open and Spike and Wolf storm inside.  Gametime is sitting down in a chair waiting for them to get back.  Spike, blood still staining his face and clothes,  picks a chair up and throws it against the wall.

Spike: Damn it!  If I ever see Cage again, it'll be the last time anyone sees him.  He  is a marked man and if he knows what's good for him, he'll stay gone, forever.

Wolf: Damn right, if you don't kill him, I sure as hell will.  I can't believe we got screwed out of the belts.  We're going to get them back, it's just a matter of time.

Spike picks up a towel and starts to wipe the blood from his forehead.  He looks over at Gametime who is still sitting there looking right at them.

Spike: Why are you so quite?  Didn't you see what happened out there?

Gametime: Yeah, I did, but if you'd let me get a word in, I have some news, for both of you.

Spike looks at Gametime and Wolf turns around to look at him as well.

Gametime: It seems as though I won't be the only member of High Impact that will get a shot at a title at Ruler of the Ring next week.

Spike: We've got the re-match already?

Gametime: No, something better.  We're going to get the chance to drive the final nail in the coffin of the Regime.  While I beat Bond and take the Simcoe County title, Wolf will get the chance to beat BBK for the TV title and you Spike, well you get the shot at the Provincial Title.  It'll be a clean sweep and the end of the Regime.  It doesn't get much better than this does it.

Wolf: It's about time I got my chance at a singles title.  BBK will not leave there with the belt, it's coming home to High Impact

Spike: This is what I've been waiting for, this is my time, I won't be leaving Ruler of the Ring without that title around my waist.

After a few more moments of passing comments, Wolf and Spike start to get ready after their match.  Just as they are leaving the locker room, they hear someone calling Spike's name.  They all turn around and see Craig James with a camera crew following close behind.

James: Spike, can I get a few words about your upcoming match?

Spike turns to Gametime and Wolf and tells them to go on without him and that he'll meet them when he is finished here.  They carry on down the corridor and out towards the parking area.  Spike turns back to face Craig and answers him.

Spike: Go ahead Craig, ask away.

James: Well, this isn't exactly a normal interview.  I mean, it is for SCCW but it's also for me.  I've been in SCCW since the start, you should know, you're the only guy still on the roster that has been here since day one, so I'm glad that you're finally getting your shot at the big one.  You can't have known for long that you've got the shot, so what are you first feelings about your match?

Spike pauses a moment to think about it, showing the importance of the question.

Spike: As you said Craig, I've been here since the beginning, I've seen a lot of people come and go and get things that I felt should've been mine.  I mean, I'm the only guy to have 4 separate title runs, so I think I'm finally getting the chance that I deserve.  I'm not saying that no-one else here deserves it, but it's my time and it's my chance to show everyone that I am here to stay and that I will take out anyone that is put in my way.  I'm going to get the top, there is no doubt about that, and this week is my chance.  It's come at a time when I didn't really expect it, but at a time when the SCCW needs it.  Midnight Felon is like a plague.  He runs around here with the rest of the Regime close behind, attacking people and injuring people and it's only getting worse.  I am going to do what SCCW needs, I'm going to break the stranglehold that he has on this company by showing him that he's not as untouchable as he thinks he is.  I'm going to give him the reality check he is dire need of.

James: It's no secret that you have had your differences with Murderous Intent in the past, will this come into play when you fight Felon one-on-one for the first time?

Spike: Knowing the Regime, it won't ever be one-on-one, they will always be around to try to help each other out and save themselves from losing.  My past with Murderous Intent will play a big part.  When me and Wolf first teamed together to form High Impact, we did it knowing that we both wanted to rid this place of them.  Then Gametime joined the cause and he has the same feeling towards the Regime that me and Wolf do.  We want to end them and get rid of them forever, so yeah, my animosity towards Felon will play a big part.  I'm motivated and I'm ready to do whatever it takes to take him down.  He'll probably try to play mind games with me and try to tell me that my anger will be my downfall, but it's not, it's my greatest asset.  It means that whatever happens to him in this match, I'll have no regrets.  If he ends up a cripple, I won't care.

James: Aren't you a bit concerned about getting in the ring with him?  I mean look at his track record, retiring Sloppy Joe and Devin Hawk and taking their respective titles, being pretty much unstoppable in the Brawl and only losing 3 matches ever in this company.

Spike: I can see why you would say that Craig, and I'm not taking anything away from him, he has accomplished a lot, but so have I.  How many times have I been in the ring with Felon Craig, except for the Brawl.

James: Just the once I think, in the tag match a few weeks ago.

Spike: And who won it Craig?

James: You and Wolf did.

Spike: Exactly.  I am one of the few people to hand him a defeat and it will happen again.  He might be Hall of Fame bound, who knows, aside from his underhanded and cheap tactics, he has done a lot, but so have I.  I am the Franchise around here.  I'm the one to hold the most titles and I'm the one with the most recognition and I WILL be the one holding the Provincial Title.  I'm the guy that everyone wishes they could live up to.  I'm the one setting the standards not him.  He might think that he is the benchmark for everyone to meet, but I'm going to show him that I am ready to surpass him and he will be the one that is left wondering where it all went wrong, what he did to go from having everything to having nothing.  I've taken one title from him before, and this week, at Ruler of the Ring, I'll do it again.

James: Well, I'm sure there are a lot of people that agree with you on that one, but then again I'm sure there are a lot of people backing Felon as well.  There is no doubt that it'll be a classic, so good luck this week Spike.

Spike: Thanks Craig.  And I won't be the only one this week to stick it to the Regime.  Wolf is going to take the TV title from that punk BBK and Bond, well he's going to find out why Gametime is part og High Impact when he loses the final of the tournament to him.  Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get going.

Spike turns around and walks away from Craig and the camera crew as he goes to meet back up with Gametime and Wolf.  He disappears around the corner of the hallway as the scene fades to black
