The story of High Impact, Onwards and Upwards

The scene opens with Spike sitting in his locker room after High Impact had just won their first match as a team and won the right to a tag team title shot.  He turns to look at Wolf at begins to speak

Spike: We're on our way Wolf, it's starting to fall into place.  We beat those two sorry punks and now, now we're going to take the titles from Murderous Intent.

Wolf: Damn right.  It won't be long until I have what I deserve, a title belt around my waist.  I won't stop there though, we won;t stop there.  The sky is the limit and we won't stop until we have ALL the gold.

Spike: When we have the tag titles, it'll put us in good stead for the rest.  I already have the InnerCity TV title and I don't plan on dropping it to either of the guys who have a shot at me at Blaze of Glory.  

Wolf: Refresh my memory, who's in that match again?

Spike: Chris Bond and a guy that we are both getting to know quite well as of late, Mr. Ego himself, BBK.

Wolf: There's nothing to worry about then, you've got this one in the bag.

Spike: While I don't share that type of enthusiasm, I do agree with you, there is NO reason why I won't walk out of Blaze of Glory with MY title still around MY waist.

Wolf: Don't worry about Felon or anyone else getting involved, I've got you're back in that match.

Spike: I know, thanks

The two men exchange a look of solidarity and Wolf leaves to shower so that they can leave the building and celebrate their victory.  Spike, having been left alone in the locker room, turns to face the camera to share his thoughts on his upcoming opponents.

Spike: Chris, BBK, I hope that you both know what you are getting yourselves into this week at Blaze of Glory.  And I hope that you have both realised by now what lengths I will go to to ensure that I leave a champion.  Chris, from the very first time I saw you compete in the ring, I knew that you were going to go far.  You showed promise and competence in the ring and I admire that.  Now, finally, you get your first shot at championship gold, your first chance to really show everyone that you are here to stay and that you are going to make people notice you.  There is only one problem with all that though Chris.  You're trying to do it at my expense.  You want to take that next step, just like everyone else, but I'm going to cut you off at the knee.  I'm not going to let you go the next level if it means that I am going to lose My title belt.  When it comes down to it, I'm actually looking forward to the challenge that you will present, you know why?  Because I know that you will give it your all, so that just makes it that much sweeter when I beat you 1,2,3.  

Then there is you BBK.  We've had a few altercations lately haven't we?  You can't say you didn't enjoy them, 'cause I know you did.  I know that you love the thrill of fighting tooth and nail with another superstar, the buzz of the crowd as you look across the ring and wait for a fight.  Well if that's what you want BBK, that's what you'll get.  It'll be the fight of your life and unfortunately for you, it'll be one you won't win.  You can talk all you want about 'The Regime' and how you guys are going to rule the place, but that's all it is, talk.  There has never been a match between you and me, so I'm looking forward to this greatly.  It'll be a crowning moment for me, putting you in your place, reminding you that you're not as untouchable as you think you are.  I'm going to love every minute of this match.  Every punch, every slam, everything.  You can dish out as much punishment to me as you want, but I've proved myself over and over again.  When it comes down to it, I have a tendency to win the big one.  This week will be no different.  After I win, you get to go on with the knowledge that not only have you been a failure in singles competition, but your days as a tag team champion are numbered.  The time of Murderous Intent is over, High Impact are going to be the ones who reign supreme around here and that's just the way things are.  So either deal with it or get destroyed in the process. 

Spike stands up and heads for the door.  He opens it and slams it shut behind him as the scene fades to black.
