Anyone who loved any of the Harvest Moon games will fall in love with this game! The game itself is very different to most RPG’s; the idea of the game is to make something out your of grandfather’s neglected old farm. Day by day you wake up at six am to start a new fun filled day to try and make a couple of bucks, feed your animals, make friend with some girls, go fishing or have fun with the villagers at a festival. You start the game when you go back to your grandfather’s old farm that you went to when you where a kid. You really enjoyed yourself back then and you promised a little girl that you would return. Keeping that promise you meet mayor Tomas at the farm and he gives you the task to make what you can out of the farm and after three years if the farm’s a success and you have gotten along with the villagers you will be accepted as the rightful owner of the farm.

To make some money there is number of things you can do. One of the most basic ways is to grow and sell some of the huge variety of crops. This is the first way to make money when you first start the game because of the limited money you have. When you have enough money you can buy an animal. There are three animals you can buy in BTN, chicken cows and sheep. It is very important to look after your animals because the more happy the animals are the better quality of shock they produce. You also can get other animals in the game; your dog to round up cows, a horse to ride on and you can also catch and sell fish!!!

Some of the best features in this game are all the great festivals you can take part in. By far the best one is the Tomato festival, where you get to team up with some villages and throw tomato’s at the opinion. A new feature In the Harvest Moon series is the cooking. There are sixty-four recipes in all, your can cook but it is hard to find how to make them so you better ask some of the villagers. One of the best futures the Harvest Moon series are the girls! There are five eligible girls in BTN and they all have different personalities. To make a girl like you, you have to give them what they mostly like (eg. Most girls like flowers).

Sometimes the BTN can a little boring and long, mostly in your second year with the exception of die-hard fans but if you keep playing it more interesting stuff should happen. The Music is absolutely fantastic, the music themes fit well with each month and what I can’t get over is the Harvest Moon theme song that gets played at the title screen, Der da da der da da der da da…
