My
BLOG!!! (my online diary)
- 04.26.07 ~
I’ve been a little sick this week, little sore throat. My Monday was insane, a lot of stuff
happened, and Tuesday wasn’t much better.
The Ice Show was awesome, and I now have a pair of black and silver pom poms, a mini-skirt and
jacket pinstripe suit, and a rather tricky set of choreography stuck in my
head. I also saw my best friend
then, which was so much fun. :-)
STAR testing is this week, which, while not painful, is rather
annoying. But it means we’re out a
little past noon
for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
I’m also debating creating a MySpace for MySelf. (yeah, my sense of humor sucks.) I’d like to be able to parody MySpace, though.
I want to be able to put my orientation as “Northeast” for the heck
of it. Hmmmm

Tour was absolutely, totally, fantabulous!!!!!! We won the Pacific Basin
Music Festival choral section, too!!!!!! I found out a lot of interesting things
about my fellow choir members and Hawaiian prices, and experienced Lush
for the first time. It’s a
fascinating store, but really expensive.
It’s about $24 for 8 oz. of lotion.
We got a lot of shopping and beach time in, which was fun. Crazy
Shirts is a really cool, Hawaii only brand. I wish it were in CA, though.
My computer is totally fixed now!
My Dad and I had to wipe my hard drive, again, and reinstall the
Operating System, so I had to redo all my files, and mess around with iTunes, because all my songs somehow got
duplicated. :-\
The Annual Ice Show at the ice rink I go to is next weekend! The theme’s Extra Extra,
like the newspaper. I’m the Sports
Section, as a Cheerleader, and the Business Section, in a weird pinstripe
suit. My best friend’s coming, so I
can hardly wait! :-)
Also, my blood brother made brownies.
With ... brownie mix, eggs, butter imitation flavoring, lemon
extract, pineapple extract, floor dust (the whole mix fell on the floor),
lime powder, food coloring, soy nuts, and some other stuff. Very
weird, but overall: 9/10

My birthday is very soon, as is my choir's trip
to Hawaii! We're learning a bunch of new
songs, and one's in Hawaiian and another in Maori (from New Zealand). Another's in Latin, and we'll probably be singing a Spanish song
too.
My (blood) brother's birthday is tomorrow!
My computer's problem has been diagnosed. I have no WiFi capabilities due to a driver which has somehow
gone missing. I can connect through a wire, but it's a pain, and
easy to steal. My hard drive was practically wiped in an effort to
fix this, so I'm still working to get my computer up and running regularly
again. I've had to reinstall a bunch of programs.
My bro & I cleaned our room about 2 weeks ago, and I've got a pretty
interesting story to tell about it.

HAPPY (belated) VALENTINE's DAY & WINTER BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, long time since I did one of these.
The Valentine's Concert was totally awesome, and ranks highly on my
favorite days of my life, even if I was up until about 1:45 doing LA HW. The song selection
and costumes need help in general, but it's over now, so maybe next year.
My high school held a "Super Hero Spirit Day" where some people
dressed as, well, Superheroes (who would've thought?). I made some
card board claws to go as X-23 (Wikipedia).
A friend went as Rogue (same), and a guy in my PE class who
wears glasses claimed he was Clark
Kent. "Ooo,
such a convincing disguise." Then another guy went as a joke
from his Biology class last year. He was a crack up.
There's also an upcoming Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament coming
up. That should be interesting.
Also, I applied to be an Intern-In-Training for CTC this summer.
From what I've heard the program is going to be very different than
previous years because of how few people applied. That, too, should
be interesting.
Also, I just had about 8 inches whacked off of my hair a month ago
(about). This reduction from about 2 feet to 16 inches feels really
different. And my bangs were straightened. They're back to
normal again, now.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tonight, I'm at my family's cabin in the Sierra Nevada mountains,
bumming internet off someone nearby. My brother
today gave thanks for his family, food, our aunt's dog, food, good grades,
food, etc.
I pulled my first all-nighter Monday night, which was not fun at
all. :-(
Also, my MEHAP class went to San Francisco, but I wasn't allowed to because of a
math test. -_-.

I have a choir concert tomorrow, and all the music is from the Renaissance
time period. Most of it is very pretty.
My LA class is doing a very interesting unit on (basic) psychology, which
is interesting to study, if a little bit out of place seeming in a LA
class.
I just recently found out about the concept of "Jewish
Atheism." As I understand it, it's basically the belief that
the events in the Torah (1st 5 books of the Old Testament to Christians)
happened, but God had nothing to do with all the events. Very
interesting concept.
Another interesting note - according to an article I discovered left on a
desk from a class on Genocide, Hitler originated Yo'
Mama jokes.

First off - I really like 4 day weekends. Currently, I'm at my aunt
and uncle's place in Davis. They have a dog named Cheyenne. Very sweet little one.
She's (most probably) an Australian Shepard - Rottweiler
mix.
Big News this week! The Democratic Party (the one I side with) took
control of the US House of Representatives and the Senate. We now have
a female speaker of the House - Nancy Pelosi. She represents San Francisco, and is 3rd in line for the United
States Presidency. And ... Donald Rumsfeld
resigned! :-)

Largely the same situation as last week.
I'm still online at Mom's work, with no internet on my own computer.
:-\.
My brother (Rylan) has renamed my iTunes RiTunes, and my solitaire program "Moo!."
For Halloween, I dressed up as my Chemistry teacher from last year, Dr.
Thornburg. She's obsessed with purple.
A few noteworthy costumes - my brother went out as Al Yankovic
in his White
& Nerdy music video
(Google Video). 2 kids at school went as
the Monty Python version of King Arthur and his servant, complete with
coconuts. They even did the act though. Absolutely
hilarious. One girl had an inflatable flamingo that she was
"riding." A friend of mine (her website) went as Princess Zelda from the
latest release - the Twilight Princess.
In MEHAP we've been watching Elizabeth (IMDb), a
pretty good movie of the life of Queen Elizabeth I. It stars Cate Blanchett and Geoffery Rush; she played Galadriel in Lord of the
Rings; he played Captain Barbossa in Pirates of
the Caribbean. Elizabeth isn't the most historically accurate
movie ever.

I made it one of my goals to have done by holiday break to get a blog online, but I'm a little annoyed that I'll have
to update it ... at, shall we say, "strategic
intervals." I'll shoot for once a week, if nothing interesting has
happened, maybe less. If something really interesting happened,
maybe more.
Thing is, at the moment, my computer's internet has been revoked, so it
will be updated rarely until I'm back online. I apologize. I'm
currently online at my mother's work.
School so far has been fun. Language Arts currently ranks as my
least favorite class. MEHAP is hilarious, and a lot of fun.
Just had a lab for my Biology Honors class, rather interesting - we were
playing with the effect that pH has on the enzyme catalase.
MVHS's homecoming was this Friday.
Personally, I don't get what's so great about a football game. Like,
seriously. The theme was "On top of the World" btw -
the sophomore (my class)'s float was pretty bad - we did the Roman
Coliseum. so yea...
