The way people drive in my town pisses me off so I've developed a set of rules that everyone should follow when they are driving. Most of them are common sense but read them anyways.
When you approach another driver BRIGHT LIGHTS OFF PLEASE!!!
If you're gonna pass another driver make sure that you are driving faster than the person you are passing.
When you turn onto a two lane road make sure that you turn into the right lane & not the left lane.
DO NOT TAILGATE!! That's the one habit that pisses the hell out of me the most!
If you're driving in the left lane of a two lane road make sure that you're driving faster than the person in the right lane or else drive behind the person in the right lane.
Blinkers (turn signals) are useful as well as courteous.
If you're gonna speed, don't go faster than 5 miles over the speed limit. Anything higher is expensive. *Based on personal experience*
When you see a traffic light turn yellow it means to SLOW DOWN. Red Lights mean to STOP.
If there is a sign that says no turn on Red READ it and Follow what it says.
One way signs mean ONE way.
Yeild signs mean to WAIT for the other person to go first!
A highway is not a strip so do not cruise the highway as if it is the strip.
If you are old enough to collect social security then you are too old to drive.
Pull over to the side of the road for emergency vehicles.
Do not follow an emergency vehicle (cop car, ambulance, fire truck) no matter how nosy you are.
Show some respect!! Where I live we have a ritual of pulling over for a funeral procession. Showing some resect is more important than getting to where you have to go...unless you are dying yourself but then you shouldn't be on the road.
Honk your horn at all of the pizza delivery drives you see.
Don't let other drivers, pedestrians, animals, or anything else in the road slow you down for any reason at all. *Note the bitter sarcasm*
