I'm a 22 year old girl. I've never been spanked in my life but recently it was mentioned to me that my attitude was intolerable (which I agree, as of late my attitude has gotten bad), I wasn't being respectful and that it was never too late to start spanking. I found spankwithlove a while ago as I surfed for information on birthday spanking, As a boy from the age of about seven to thirteen I was birthday spanked every year, At the age of ten and reached double figures I was put over about six different adults laps in the day to be birthday spanked some with trousers up and some through underpants.

I have birthday spanked my own J(...) since he was seven one light one for each of his years and a scorcher spank for the extra one but have told him its a punishment spank for all the times he has been naughty and never been punished for.

I had to punishment spank my J(...) and his friend P(...) three days ago now for going somewhere by them selves which is a dangerous place, P(...) who has no dad of his own regards me as a replacement dad at times. I wrote a short while ago offering to host a mirror site but have not heard from you. I am a father of three boys aged 9, 12 and 14 living in the uk. I believe that the relationship with the child (the with love bit) is probably more important than the spanking bit. Everything I do with my boys, from talking, to sharing activities, to spanking is done out of love. Spanking and providing good consistent discipline is just a one part of my parental role and responsibility. I find that spanking given lovingly, safely and correctly is very effective; but realise there's a lot more to parenting than smacking a childs bottom every so often!

One of the things I like about your site is the responses you give to some of the readers feedback and questions. It's a shame we don't see your responses on line, because they always seem full of wisdom and good sense. Spanking and Teenagers

I have a thought on spanking teenagers. I have two daughters. 17 and 19. I think rare spanking are an appropriate form of and on occasion the best form of discipline for girls up to 10 years old. In my experience by setting clear bounders my girls had behavior problems that could be fixed just by talking to them about it once they reached about 10.

Talking worked until 14 for my first daughter and 13 for my second daughter. Having not been punished they started to test the line and became disrespectful. They were not doing anything horrible like smoking they were just directly disobedience.

At 14 for my first daughter my wife and I told her that her disobedience and disrespect was unexcitable and she would be punished if it continued. Well in a few days she directly disobeyed me. I told her that she was going to spanked. She was shocked. I sat at a chair had her bend over, lifted her skit and gave her 6 firm spanks with a LIGHT paddle on her underwear. She obviously, bagged before and during the spanking for me to not spank her and for me to stop spanking her. She did cry I think because of both the sting and the embarrassment.

My oldest daughter was not a problem after that one spanking everything was settled through discussion after that.

My younger daughter had a similar experience but at 13. After being spanked she did improve but still tests the limits. My wife and I still spank her when she does (which is quite rare).

I know spanking is working because I have scene the difference. I also have observed the deference between it and grounding. When we ground our younger daughter (now 17) she get mad at us and all her attention goes to that when she is spanked she just thinks about what she did.

I think spanking worked for us because it is conducted under control. If it were not under control than it would give the signal that we are losing control which would have made my girls take control.

When giving a spanking to a teenager it needs to hurt enough, if it did not sting a lot then it would be just as if they got away with it. I think that was especially important the first time they got spanked as teenagers.

Not spanking my girls between 10 and 13 also played a huge part in their successes because spankings were like a new punishment. If they had been spanked that the shock of being spanked would have been lost and would have become a useless.

I never would have thought that I would spank a 17 year old girl but I turned out to work very well and be best for her.

I welcome peoples thought and options on not spanking between 10 and 13 (junior high) and spanking after that. I hove observed no side effects of spanking my 17 year old girl but would appreciate any problems people may think I have over looked.

One more thing. I use a paddle because I do not want my daughters to associate my hand which should be for love with spanking. I also do not think it is not appropriate for me to touch even through underwear my girls bottoms.
