Proteus is actually the name of the multi-purpose aircraft, which will carry the second stage. It has the cpability to carry a 100 kg load to the statosphere. In its space launch configuration it is designed to either carry an expendable second stage for satellite launches, or a three man space tourism vehicle. In this latter configuration Proteus is a contender for the X-Prize

Except for a cortoon-like graphic ,Scaled has released very little about the second stage through it's website.
