This past Spring Season was the kind of season that has been expected of Mr. Lubbers for the past few years. His "stand behind the arc and throw up threes" philosophy was changed just enough to make a difference in his scoring output. His field goals were split right down the middle, thirty four three pointers and thrity four two pointers. This can be attributed mostly to his extensive weight training in the off season. Nick put on 2 pounds of solid muscle before he exploded onto the Sports of All Sorts scene, and it seemed to be exactly what he was looking for.

Those great numbers, however, will be hard to duplicate with the 'boys adding veteran Ted Arlinghaus to the mix, along with the shooting of Mike Ash coming along. Mr. Lubbers will have to score more conisitently on the inside with these shooters around him and with the loss of their number one inside threat.

Overall, he is a big part of the Space Cowboys team. He is credited with getting the team together in the first place and there could not be a better bunch of guys as far as good people go, the jury is still out on the basketball side of that.
