THE OCCASIONAL ORBITER Monday June 3rd, 2002 Vol.76 Dominate This!! Hello to all the fans of the Cowboys. This orbiter is being written not by your usual editor, Nick "God I am huge" Lubbers but by Kevin "I wish I wouldn't get sent down to the Earth Cowboys so much" Brinkman. I will apologize right off if this orbiter does not live up to the previous editions. The Cowboys were able to pull out a hard fought overtime victory against the team known as Dominators. Even though the Cowboys did pull out the victory, it is believed that they should have won in a more comfortable fashion. The boys had some bright spots in the game though. Several boys were able to put in excellent games. Nick Lubbers led the boys with 18 and was able to connect on some key shots at the end of the game. Jeremy Jefferies was the key to boys victory in the first half. Mr. J-Fat was able to connect on several of his first shots and the other team was heard to say "Don't let the fat kid shoot, he can make it" as he crossed the half court line. He ended the game with a very impressive 16 points. His offensive production was amazing but the play that he should recieve "props" for was the defensive play at the end of the game. He was able to steal the inbounds pass and score an easy layup on which he was fouled on. He connected on the free throw and put the Cowboys up by two in the final seconds. Although the Dominators were able to connect on a buzzer beater to send it to overtime. In overtime the Cowboys were sparked by a big three pointer by the other fat guard Mike Ash. The boys were able to hold on and pull out the 60-53 victory. I am also asking that someone step up and be the score keeper for tomorrow night's game. The regular score keeper Christina Batsche has "pulled out" at the last minute so the Cowboys will pay the person who accepts the challenge with an orange lanyard. If this isn't enough reward than I don't know what is. Well I hope that you have enjoyed your reading of this edition and that it matches up with the past verisons. Breaking News Keith Lubbers and Kevin Brinkman are STILL Best Buddies!!!!! New and Notes J-Fat's scoring streak continues. Good work JJ!! There are no injuries to report of except for the emotional scarring of the Cowboys suffered when Mike "Brother" Brinkman didn't show to the game. What is going on with that? As his "brother" I want to apologize to the whole Space Cowboys community for his lack of loyality. Guest Editor, Kevin P. Brinkman AHOY, AHOY!!!!
