THE OCCASIONAL ORBITER Heellooooo, fellow Cowboys of the Space variety, thanks once again for joining us for this occasional reminder. The Space Cowboys will be in action against the Fillabong "thuggy thugs" tomorrow, Tuesday, June 5th, at 7 P.M. at Sports of All Sorts in Florence. This is bound to be one hell of a gmae as the "thuggy thugs" nipped the 'boys in the first game of the season by one, at the buzzer. But as always, great basketball isn't the only reason to come out to the game. This week is Jeremy Jeffries Bobble Head Doll giveaway. It was previously reported that the first 5,000 fans in attendance would receive the replica doll, but due to "unforseen expenses" that number will be dropped to just the first three (3) fans. That's right, the first three fans in attendance will recieve this near lifesize doll, of Cowboy guard Jeremy Jeffries. So get there early. Doors open at 6:34 and normal pregame festivities began at approxamatly 6:48. Don't miss out!! **** T-Shirts Ordered **** The "official" t-shirts of the Space Cowboys were ordered this past Wedensday at Eggelston & Maynard. They will be ready in approxamatly three (3) weeks. There were slight modifications made from the Space COwboys Softball team, but they are bound to be pretty "sweeet". The price is also a little different than first reported. They have gone up to thirteen (13) dollars ($) each. And to prevent anyone (Mr. Lubbers) from losing money, no shirts will be given out until the money is received in full. Feel free to take care of your bill whenever you like, it is not neccesary to wait until they are in, that's up to you. **** News and Notes **** Michael Brinkman declined the non-guaranteed minor league contract offered to him by the Space Cowboys, to play with Louisville affiliate Earth Cowboys....Kevin Brinkman is still listed day to day with his bruised finger....Dan Resing, "no show", from last week, is also listed day to day after receiving stitches just above his right eye after being "clocked" by a girl in his recent soccer game. Even if he feels ready, it is still a "game time" decision as to whether he plays or not after skipping last week whooping....Keith Lubbers, as always, will be on "stand by" if needed, as will Luis Quinones. **** Space Cowboys Softball Update **** The Space Cowboys Softball team took one hell of a whoopin themselves this past Friday. THey fell to an unknown opponent sixteen (16) to nothing (0). The zero (0) runs they scred is almost unheard of in slow pitch softball. Better luck next time fellas. THeir next game will be this Friday at the new complex at FOPA in Latonia, the time will once again be forthcoming. Editor-in-Chief Nick "Stud" Lubbers wee eee wee eee
