OCCASIONAL ORBITER Hello fellow Cowboys of the Space variety, it is once again time for your occasional reading. **** Space Cowboys Win!!!! **** The Space Cowboys entered tonights game with one (1) win and four (4) losses, with three (3) of those losses coming consecutivly. Things turned around for the home team tonight though. The 'boys defeated the "really bad" Tarheels sixty-four (64) to fourty (40) with a well balanced scoring attack. Although they came out victorious for the first time in four (4) games, the overall game can only be described as "contagious". Why is that? Well, it is because the Tarheels were so bad they made it hard for the Cowboys to play a good game. It seemd very hard to get in any kind of a rythme. The oposition may feel otherwise as the lead was as much as thirteen (13) to two (2) early on, and it only got worse from there. The 'boys went on to take a twenty-eight (28) to twelve (12) lead at halftime. Even though the 'boys didn't play their best game of the year they were all very pleased with the results. This was a very big win. There were a few "bright spots". Guard Jeremy "tiny" Jeffries had a solid shooting effort, which is completely unheard of for him these days, and scored fourteen (14) points. **** Box Score May 15th, 2001 **** Name No. Fgm Fga 3ptm 3pta Ftm Fta TP Jeffries 24 6 9 2 4 0 1 14 Keene 44 2 5 0 0 1 2 5 Brinkman 13 2 8 1 6 0 0 5 Suedkamp 35 5 11 0 0 0 1 10 N. But the good news is the opponent was held under the magic sixty-five (65) at fourty (40)....Michael Brinkman was once again a "no show" for this weeks game.
