Brandee

My super-cool, super-bitter sorority sister, she is always willing to get together and bitch about bitches or mock a certain, pathetic, fraternity. We meet when I joined d phi e in the fall of 2000, but we weren't close for another year and a half.. Brandee has that unfortunate combination of stunning looks and a shy tempermant that makes her seem totally unaproachable. But secretly she's one of the sweetest girls around.. not that she'd ever admit it.

Bryn

My old NJC roomate, Bryn is one of the coolest girls I know. You might think she's some ditzy blonde cheerleader, but you'd be oh so wrong. Bryn's got major attitude. She's not afraid to scream at stupid people who leave their dogs locked up in their cars on a hot summer day, and rolls her eyes at me if I spend over $50 on a new pair of shoes. Bryn's got style, she's sweet, super-loyal and she's never afraid to speak her mind or to stand up for what's right. She goes to the University of Guelph right now so I hardly ever get to see her, but whenever I'm back in Toronto visiting Bryn is #1 on my list of things to do.

My ex-boyfriend - he's a total asshole, and he knows it, so I don't feel bad about writing it. Nevertheless, he has the ability to be super fun and super sweet. He's one of the few people in the world that I utterly love talking to for hours on end.. and I will always be in awe of his artistic talents. If he'd just stop acting like such a dumb-ass he'd be perfect.. and Carlos, darling, I mean that as a huge compliment... you're fucking cool and you know it. :)

Dean

Dean is without a doubt the nicest guy I have ever met. And not only is he nice but he's so much fun, is totally hot, and has an incredible sense of style. And he's not even gay! Dean, you're single handly giving me faith in men.

Eugenia

Another one of my sorority sisters, Eugenia totally rocks.. I don't know what I'd do without her. She lives accoss the street from me so she's always the first one i harrass when i get bored.. Plus, we're both insane so we always end up talking until like, 5 in the morning.. Eugenia is totally brilliant and so much fun. Plus we always have fun bitching together, like about how everything in Vancouver is closed by 2am. So annoying! Toronto is vastly superior.

Jes

Ah, the lovely VagFace. She is much too busy being An Actress to hang out with me much anymore, but when we do get together we generally manage to make total asses out of ourselves, and that is why I love her. Because even if I do hate her every so often, she's always willing to get kicked out of a formal for drunken behaviour, fend off horny Italian men at strip clubs, or make up impromptu dances to "one hump or two". In fact, she's even willing to clean up my puke for me, and if that's not a true friend, then what is?

La belle Louise and I found each other thanks to a mutual love of the Monkees, and bonded over a mutual love of staying up late and making no sense. We now lead parallel lives, which means I always know that she'll be able to sympathize when I send her ridiculously long emails about the traumas of my life.

Meera

Another sorority sister and my one and only dirty dirty napkin, Meera has got to be my number one party friend of all time. Meera could make a funeral fun, or shock people at a strip club. And she does, oh yes, she does. Unfortunately, I never get to party with Meera because she seems to think that it is acceptable for her to live in frigging Saskatoon. What is that about! She needs to move back to Vancouver. Vancouver is where she belongs.

Nicole

Woo baby, yet another sorority sister. Nicole is almost as good of a party friend as Meera is... but only almost. However, Nicole earns bonus points for taking care of my cats whenever I am away.. and then promptly loses said points for continuously losing said cats, and re-naming Tatty "One-Eye". Which is just mean! Nicole likes being mean. But only in the good way, which is why everyone loves her.

Nuria

My dear friend Nuria has spent the past 8 years pretending like she doesn't like me. Yah, right. Like anyone could not like me. Especially not Nuria, she secretly adores me. And she's pretty cool herself too, she's always up to go out partying with me, and is by far the most mature of my Toronto friends.. she's always willing to listen to people's problems and offer them good advice. For this I label her the mother, which pisses her off, but she should take it as a compliment, damn it!
Oh, and if she became a doctor, her name would be Dr. Doctor! Hahahahaha...

Sonia

Sonia is like, the most hilarious, witty person I have ever met. Plus she has super-fab taste in music. And boys. And she hates Rachel Leigh Cock (who is evil). Oh, the ways in which Sonia is cool! And not like she is trying to be cool, like she just is. Because she is. Even if she does put condoms on my posters.

Along with Nuria, Tanya is by far one of my most normal friends. She's sweet, responsible and reliable. But secretly, Tanya is totally crazy. The first week I knew her Tanya spent an entire evening seducing a sweet young virgin. But no, I shouldn't insinuate things that are untrue. Tanya is the perfect mix of naughty and nice. She's one of those people who you can go out for a wild night on the town with, have tons of fun, and never have to worry that you're going to wake up in a motel room across the country with a truck driver named Buddy. But she does seduce virgins.

My crazy Abbotsford/Chilliwack friends! They get to be grouped together, even though they are totally different on basis of their close geographic proximity, and just because that's who they always are - Tanya and Val. They are another two I meet back in high school when I was all big into the Monkees, and since then we hang out every summer and have tons of fun together.

Val is the super-coolest. I met her in super-luxurious surroundings (aka, first year residence) and our friendship survived all the trial and tribulations of that, plus living together with Jes in our second year. Now she lives with Tanya-Seducer-of-Virgins, and I don't get to see her nearly as much as I'd like (prolly 'cause we're supposed to be gym buddies and both of us are big slackers). Val super rocks though, she let me shave her head back in the summer or 2001, and always brings me ice cream when I am feeling depressed. Plus she has twice hooked me up with a summer job, and that it just sweeeeet. Everyone should have a friend like Val.

Vivienne

One of my oldest and most insane friends, Vivienne is great when she's not pretending to be a Smurf (don't ask, I have no idea what that means either). Vivienne is crazy smart (TOP ENGINEER AT U of T, BABY!) and she's super modest too (ie, she's going to kill me for writing that. Seriously. She once punched me in the face for telling our friends about an award she'd won). But most importantly, Vivienne is CRAZY. It's great. She gets drunk and just goes wild, it's the funnest thing to watch ever. Except that she hasn't been drunk around me a lot lately.. hmm.. no fun!! Next time I am in TO I will have to work on that..
