THE REAL ILLUSION

        

         Reality

         solid as solid can ever be

         yet so many variables…possibilities

         one wonders if it isn’t more a liquid

        

         Time - a highway linking this

         our dreams…nightmares

         an infinite number of lanes

         leading to states of mind unforseen

         tragedy, happiness…

          

         If it feels good, do it

         but why does feeling good

         so often bring pain to others?

        

         The mad, regardless of their degree

         manic depressive, schizophrenic, psychopath

         or simple idiosyncrasy…

        

         Reality has as many faces

         as those slated to wear it

         so that each in their own way must wonder

         what is real and what’s a dream?
