JUXTAPOSITION BY HARES 

 

            in adjoining neighbor’s yard

            a pet shop bought white rabbit 

            atop a white patio table

            everything to live provided

            sitting docile in its cage

 

            at night

            after taken inside

 

            two brown bunnies come out of grove 

            behind houses

            to feed

            scamper after one another

            procreate

 

            which variety

            to survive longest?
