IC Background:

As a young boy, Yoshiro was outspoken, loud and arrogant. He held true to his feelings and was proud and dignified. He was stealthy and fast and would often sneak into the royal castle, to watch the guards drill in the morning and then would go home and practice it himself with his father's broadsword.

One afternoon he saved a young girl from a group of bullies, who picked on halflings much like himself. Unknown at the time to Yoshiro, the girl was the younger cousin to Aya Kimimoto, the champion of the Night Elf tribe and best friend to the prince. Aya had heard talk of the boy before and was impressed at both his skill and courage. He offered the kid the chance to train with him, to become his apprentice. Aya was still young himself but his power and skill knew no bounds and the boy literally jumped at the chance to become a knight.

Despite the hero's light-heartedness, he was a strict and serious teacher and someone who took great patience in what he did. Shiro had left behind his bed-ridden mother and his twin sister for this oppurtinity and he wasn't giving up on it so easily. He improved dramatically over just a few short weeks, catching most of the older, more superior guards by surprise. Recognition and respect flew through the ranks like wildfire and soon there was no one in the castle who did not know or think lowly of Aya's apprentice.

Yoshiro graduated the academy at fourteen...an astonishing sixteen months after he had entered. It was around this time that he got word that his mother had passed on and that his twin was leaving in search of their sister. News of an elder sister struck the boy with awe and he was hurt, angered at his father. He had not known he had been married before and his mother had never said a word. The fact that his own dad would keep this from him enraged him and he felt betrayed nad slighted. He kept to himself, closing up to most people.

Two people however were an exception to that. Aya, who demanded that Yoshiro not shut him out and his younger cousin, Seisa, who had been by Shiro's side the entire time. A slow, innocent romance had been growing between the two, a romance that Aya had been encouraging and during Shiro's shut out, his lone confinement, it came forth, the one thing he could grab on to to pull himself out of this hole he had slipped in to.

A fews months later Dark Forest Castle was attacked by the Fire Elf clan, and they burned the castle and most of the village to the ground. Hevay casualities were sustained, including the loss of Aya's wife, Layla. Vowing revenge for both his people and his friends, Yoshiro joined his master and the prince in a retalitory campaign against the Fire Elves.

IRL Background:

Yoshiro has always been there in Sora and Shime's past history, but I never thought I would bring him forth as an actual active character. He is actually inspired from my younger brother, JC's, story which he helped me create after reading through Shime's story. Shiro, as I call him, is a very angry and confused young man, who has been trying to forget about the bad in his life and hold on to the good. It's why he treasures Seisa so much and why Aya is like a brother to him- he needs them like living creatures need air. Shime too, is a stabler for him and though he won't admit it to anyone, he doesn't mind Sora as much as he says. He's come to realize she is family and that she needs him as much as he needs her.

Most of Shiro has yet to be reached on the Meld. The boy has had a tough life- I'd like to reassure him that it's going to get easier, but I can't really say that. As he is a brother to Shime and Sor, he is like a brother to me. Don't mess with my family...of course I think the Tokumi clan is proctected enough with Shiro around. ^^
