At that time her mother, the only living family she had left besides her twin brother, passed away leaving Shime with a startling secret- she had a half sister who was two years older then her. Knowing that Yoshiro was still in-training to become a knight at the castle, she took this burden of finding the other half of her family by herself and so she left home in search of her missing sister. Having traveled a year and finding nothing, the girl was on her way through a port city when she bumped into Vahn Taylor, a teenage sharpshooter for hire, who had a thing for pretty women. Naive and acting off her pure notions, Shime invited Vahn to help her find her sister. Never one to tell a girl no, he agreed and their quest continued, taking them to the BAT where Shime was finally united with her family, Sora and her boyfriend, Eji. Having completed his mission, Vahn was going to take leave, denying to himself that he was in love with the girl he had helped. However for Hirashime, being a halfling from the Night Elf Race meant that she was plagued with the Dark Forest curse and once she fell in love, she couldn't fall back out of it. She confronted Vahn with those feelings, a bold move for her, and once she found out he felt the same way, they settled down at the Blue Aura Tavern, committed to helping Eji and Sora get the place up and running. IRL Background: If there is any character that has been around almost as long as Sora has, it's Shime. She was one of my first works on CoD that I created and leveled by myself and her storyline was my own to work with. She was Sora's sister way back when and has remained the same now. She has always been ditzy and outspoken, expressing my greatest views at times when I could not. She's awesome to RP as and probably one of the characters I hold closest to my heart. Shime has been there through all the drama and it's comforting to know that she still remains even after the switch off of Cleft in early 2004. |
