And as forJugusen? Are you even listening?
Violet eyes looked up, meeting amber as the young prince stared at his brother, their features so alike and so contrasting at the same time. They were almost exact opposites as far as hair and eyes color went, but as for complexion and body figure, they were about equal. Even their wings blazed the same color, a fiery vivid crimson.
Im sorry Jaeden. He said apologetically, sitting up straighter in his chair. Ill pay attention this time, I promise.
His brother let out an exasperated sigh. Sometimes it was difficult to tell which one of them was the elder. No, its not worth it. He said sternly, though he began packing his things up on top of the table. Tell me though Brother I demand an explanation. What has got you so distracted? Youre never this bad, and youve been like this ever since you returned to Kazekure. Did something happen?
Thats the problem Jae. Ever since I returned from Koiya Jugusen smiled, shaking his head, long chestnut ponytail swaying behind him. Its nothing really big bro. Just thinking of how Im going to miss the place. Lord Kousei and Lord Souya are such honorable men. You would really like them if you ever got the chance to meet them Jae.
Shining light
Another day turns into night
Those golden eyes sort of shimmered for a second. He knew how respectable and serious his younger sibling was most of the time. Well perhaps next time Ill get to go to Koiya in your stead. He said, closing up his portfolio.
Opening the door to the meeting room, he was nearly pounced by a bright red ball of energy as it tackled him to the floor. JUGU-NII-SAN!! She cried, hugging the dark-haired boy, before realizing it wasnt the object of her affection. OhJae She giggled, crimson wings folded tightly around her small back.
Saza, get off me. He growled, sitting up and pushing the girl back, his raven hair hanging into his face.
Ooh, Jaedens all feisty. Thats kinda hot bro. Now we need to get you a woman! She said, chestnut eyes watching him with amusement. Or a man
I am NOT that way! Jaeden snarled, standing up, his scarlet and gold robes, flowing around him.
Why dont you leave Jae alone sis? Hell find himself someone in his own time. Jugusen mused, though it was apparent that he was finding it just as funny as his little sister.
Jugu! She was on her feet in an instant, standing on her tiptoes to wrap her arms around his neck. Its so nice to see you back home! How were the night elves? Were there any really fine-looking guys there?
Jugusen blushed. All the guys in Koiya are fine, sisthey dont age.
Eternal fire
Waited all my life
The little fire elf squealed, letting go of her brother to practically hop around the room. I knew it! I sooo knew it! Im the next one who gets to go to Koiya!
No way! Jaeden said, pushing back his long dark bangs. I am.
And what would you do there, Sergeant Serious? Talk military and politics for hours? Boooring!
How bout I just tell you both no, and say Im going to go again? Jugusen interjected, wrapping an arm around his sisters shoulders and ruffling his brothers hair.
That would ruin our wedding plans, my dear.
The siblings turned to see a young woman standing in the doorway, glossy black hair falling over her shoulders and down her back to stop just around her waist. Pale orange eyes, the color of a harvest moon stared past the two younger siblings, gaze stuck on the gorgeous face of the elder brother like she had eyes for him only. Her tawny wings flickered as she stepped into the room, a soft smile crossing her beautiful dark tanned face.
Jugusens violet eyes wavered horribly, suddenly feeling like he was going to break out into tears. K-Krystil
Aw, Jugusen-sama, did you miss me that badly? She asked him, looking up at him.
Realizing how badly his emotions were playing across his face, he composed himself, give a small numb nod of his head.
She giggled. Youre so cute, blushing like that. Tomorrow my love. Tomorrows our big day. Saza, She turned to the girl. Youll help me with this evenings plans, wont you?
Of coursesis! The girl nodded, taking her arm. Later boys! See you all in the morning.
Take me away
A million miles away from here
As the two women left, Jaeden cast a suspicious look over at his brother. What is it that youre not telling me Jugu?
The older boy blinked, feigning innocence. I dont have a clue what youre talking about. He said without batting another eyelash.
Jaeden stared at him a moment before his amber eyes narrowed and he huffed. Fine, whatever. Dont speak to me then. When everything becomes to much to bear dont come crying to me.
Jugusen flashed him a small smile. Youre always so mean, little brother.
And youre way to soft. The other countered without missing a beat. See you bright and early big brothertomorrows your big day.
As the door to the large spacious study shut behind the young prince, his elder brother turned away from it. I knowGods I know
Being alone in his chambers was something he couldnt stand, but he couldnt get away from. It was his prison, his jail cell, his confines to this place like that woman was on his heart.
Sitting in an open window of his bedroom, looking down inside the fiery chasm of the magma chamber below Kazekure, Jugusen Mitra Himawari seriously thought over finding the largest body of water he could within the area, and putting out the eternal flame which burned brightly inside of his own body. Fire Elves were said to have been spawned from the Red Dragon and the Phoenix, and many full bloods and half breeds had contracts with the mythical beast Suzaku. Water, especially in an open wound, or extreme cold was their worst enemyif their internal temperature ever dropped under five hundred degrees, they would freeze to death. Right now, within the despair of this night, within his own hearthe just wanted to die. Love had lost this battle, there was no hope for it anymore. She had been his reason to livehis very breath, his everything in this world, and he had sent her away with lies and convictions, knowing it would be the death of her. Knowingthat she would diebecause of himwhen all he ever wanted to do was hold her close, take her to the brink of ecstasy and never let her go.
Take me away
Find a place for you and me
The boy tucked his knees up to his chest, wrapping his arms around himself as he buried his face in his robes. His wings curled around his strong, well-built body, encompassing him in the blazing heat of the scarlet feathers. Nights were especially difficult on him now, the darkness bringing a looming welcome, a haunting dream of a broken reality. It was in this void that he could think back on their escapades, escaping Lord Kousei and Lord Souyas watch to spend the evening hours to themselves. Lady Rin was always coming up with some excuse to get them away from the dinner table early, and Jugusen could only be grateful that while most of the castle was alive with festivities of another nocturnal day he and his beloved were locked away in her chambers in a passion that kept them unaware from anything else.
He could remember the silky smooth feel of her cool pale skin under his touch, how her body shifted and reacted to just the slightest caress of his fingertips as if it had only been a few minutes since he had last laid hands on the curves of her beautiful body. The way her glassy, bright crimson eyes would linger over his figure as she watched him, that possessive, sincere loving look that she wore no matter if they were in a room full of nobles or all alone in the bedroom. Her voiceoh, Heaven above, her soft sweet voice, the way she giggled and laughed when he was chasing her around the castle courtyard, how haughty and arrogant she would get when they were arguing, like she was queen of all Koiya, or the way she quietly purred his name, murmuring her lusty confessions over and over again as they made love, claiming her body over and over again in what he knew was forever his.
Sharp white teeth cut into his bottom lip, wishing she was here for him to hold onto now. He longed for her gentle nimble fingers as they stroked his flaming wings and combed through his long chestnut hair when it was plastered to his face and neck with sweat. He could almost feel her lips on his body, ghostly kisses fondly satiating the hard muscles of his chest and stomach, taking the time to sweep over every inch of that dark tan skin. She was his, for eternity, her life and her love freely given to him, and although he could never say, could never utter the words in return, he gave everything to her, his heart, his body and his soul.
You're taking me higher
High as I could be
How he hated being a pureblood. How he hated being royalty. He had gone to Koiya with the instructed idea that the country was full of nothing but animalistic and vile halflings and had left the island with the absolute resolve that the people who ruled there were wonderful, sincere, kind-hearted people who had truly realized they didnt have to live above everyone else.
Had he told his father of his change of mind, Lord Himawari would probably of had him killed. His fathers words and rule were absolute, and no one could possibly do anything to change his mind. Disobeying orders meant certain death, though in Jugusens case, it was death on either side of the situation.
With his heart laying so bare at the moment with all these thoughts in his head, suicide seemed like a pretty good idea. His love was three thousand miles away, across an oceanwould she feel him go if he passed on to the other side this night? Would she surely join him in death then, so that they could be together for eternity? Could he steal her away, this night and forever, and possibly unconditionally make her his?
To consider the other side of the situation was just as heartbroken. His death would shock the entire kingdom surelywhat was left of his family would be crushed. His father was getting older and he wasnt doing so goodhe was nearing his twelve-hundredth year this fall. If he died, that would leave Jaeden in charge upon his own wedding dayprovided Jaeden ever get married. He wasnt the emotionally attached type. If he deserted them nowhis siblings would undoubtedly suffer for it later. He couldntput that kind of pain on them. Not so he could be selfish.
Suzusamy beloved Suzusa. The things I have done to youthe things I have said. The things I have meant to truly say and never told youwill you ever find it in your heart to forgive me, the way I have betrayed you?
Take me away
Forever you and me
The young princes thoughts were such in disarray he did not realize the tears sliding down his dark cheeks, dropping off the edge of his chin onto his scarlet clothing.
There was nothing, empty meaning in my life before I met you. Going to Koiya was the best decision I ever made. Meeting you was the best thing that has ever happened to me. You are my light, Suzusa, you are my world, my fire. Without you, I am nothing and with you gone from my life, there is not much left for me.
The sun was rising the next morning when the boy finally rose his head and before he knew it Jaeden was striding into the chambers to meet him, standing over his form and urging him to get up, all the while nagging about how it couldnt possibly have been good to have slept in a window sill all evening.
Jugusen barely heard a word he was saying. His clothes were stripped from his form and replaced with the white robes he was wearing for the wedding ceremony, and he did as he was told to sit so that Jaeden could fix his hair. The rest of the conversation was a blurr, even his whispered replies.
A sharp thud on the head with the back of the brush was enough to jolt his memory. Ow! Will you watch what youre doing?! He snarled, coming across harsher then he had meant to.
Amber eyes just blinked slowly, not even outwardly phased by it. Ive only asked you four times to keep your head straight. I cant braid your hair with you slouching on me. His brother snapped though gritted teeth, holding thin strands of ivory ribbon between his lips. There was a short pause before he continued. What has got your emotions in a blender to the point where you would snap Jugusen? Depression is not beyond you, but anger is out of your league. What has happened to hurt you so?
Tears I cried
Kept them all inside
Frustrated with life by this point, and not looking forward to the day in the least, the elder prince let out a soft sigh. All of this. This is wrong. This should not be happening.
This wedding? Jaeden let out a soft bitter laugh. Tell me about it. Its merely political. Yamugichi is two hundred years older then you for starters, and her royal house has been looking for a way into serious power for years. This is Father letting his lenience go to Kokatori and him stealing up any leeway Father will give him in order to gain favor. Its a diplomat train wreck if you ask me. And you and Krystil hardly speak in the first placeshes twice your age.
I could care less about the politics Jae. He whispered. I care more about my heartabout the heart of the woman Im abandoning in some idiotic attempt to please Father.
His brother went silent for a minute. Jugusenanother woman? Who? Whawhen did this happen? He leaned forward, raven locks falling in his face as he eyed his brother with a very puzzled look.
Jugusen swallowed, tilting his head slightly to give his brother a very sad, knowing look. While I was in Koiya.
Those amber eyes blinked wide, and the young prince nearly tried to blink it away in realization. OhnoLady Torikama. His voice was filled with shock, a new one for Jaeden to be showing. He stood up and then immediately sat down, his legs shaky.
His elder brother flashed him a very small grieving smile. By all rights of our people and theirs, she is Suzusa Himawari now. He corrected him.
No. Jaeden shook his head and then found his footing, on his feet in an instant and pacing back and forth in front of the bed frantically. No, no, no, no noJugu, do you have any idea howhow
Incredibly impossible this is? he finished the sentence for him since he was flailing like a fish out of water. Still he was grateful to see his sibling so torn up about the matter. Yes, I know.
Father would kill you if he found out about this! He cried softly, to lost in thought to really hear Jugusen speak up. But thisbinding your soul to Lady Yamugichisuch an act would surely cause the Dark Forest Curse to take effectLady Suzusawould die He stopped his sporadic marching, looking at his brother. You have to go to Koiya. Now. Ill get one of our most talented mages to draw up a transportation circle immediately. Saza and I will stall-
I needed time
To make up my mind
Jaeden. He cut him off, standing up and putting a hand on his shoulder. The boy blinked, confused by that lookhe seemedso defeated. Its alright. Ive given up. On Suzusa, and us ever being together.
But, Jugu, if shes your soulmate then how can you possibly-
Because once youve found them little brother, youre bound to them for eternity. Maybe a millennia down the road she will have forgiven me for what I am about to do and we could possibly be what we once were. He smiled, though those amethyst eyes were wavering with tears again. I love her Jaeden, she is my very life, my very heart, body and soul, but I would die ten times over before I left my family and my country all alone. I will not abandon you like I had to abandon her. I love you and Saza to much to put you through any more pain.
It was Jaeden who broke down in tears, turning away from him and pulling out of his touch. You idiothow can you be so crueland so modest at the same time?! Youre allowed to think about yourself for once!
Jugusen just smiled, sitting back on the bottom of the bed. Thank you Jae. He whispered softly, watching as his brother tried to control his sobs. Can you come finish fixing my hair? We have an audience soon, and we dont want to keep them waiting.
Jaeden did as he was told, came back and sat next to Jugusen and without a word got back to his appointed task, though the tears wouldnt stop flowing down his face.
The entire castle was decorated and lit up worse then a Christmas tree, music and the strong smell of PhoenixBreath Wildflowers in the hot humid air. Everyone was dressed to perfection, the guests, the ushers, everyone. Jugusen found it almost bitterly amusing how the entire affair resembled mortal weddings, and it was a tradition among nobles in Kazekure, and a commonplace thing in Koiya. Odd how different societies were. It wasnt the first time that day he wished he was there instead of here.
Take me away
A million miles away from here
When Krystil entered the great hall, all of the music stopped and everyone stood, silent in awe. Even on the far side of the room, Jugusen had to admire her dark beautyshe was a very gorgeous creature, the scarlet and ivory gown she wore only causing her golden wings and pale eyes to stand out even more against her raven hair and tanned skin. Most men would consider him lucky, and here the prince was with an impending feeling of dread.
The ceremony sped by faster then he had expected, and after the ceremonial kiss, which Jugusen forced himself to get through, he took the table with his family for dinner. Krystil had kissed her new mate on the cheek and headed off with a couple of the female guests from her family, and the prince wasnt going to complain when he had the table with just Jaeden and Saza.
It was evident by the solemn, forced happy look on his sisters face that she knew now too, and when she started to speak on the matter he shoved it away. He didnt want to think about it anymore.
Music started, and the princes were ushered to their feet, forced to stay on the floor for a song or two before escaping back to their table, while Saza was more preoccupied with a diplomat from the Light Elf clan with long blonde hair and alabaster skin and wings.
Take me away
Find a place for you and me
The night was more then half over when Krystil and Jugusen finally got back to their room, and the princes chest began to ache hotly, his heart throbbing with every pulsing beat. Lets get this over with already.
The woman came in, glancing around the inner chamber with a very curious look before turning to him. Well, Jugusen-sama Her dark cheeks blushed and she bowed her head slightly. Im a bit nervous.
The Fire Elf wasnt so much as nervous as he was broken with this act. This was his final act of betrayal, the one that would hurt the most. He wanted it to be done, to be able to pull the last tie lose and away from his body, to take the last piece of his heart when it did so and leave him with nothing. His torture was finally reaching its excruciating end.
His hands wrapped around her waist, pulling her firmly against him, pushing her hips neatly into his so he could feel the warmth of her body through the thin layers of the dress. She let out a soft gasp against his neck, her face buried against his warm skin in almost embarrassment.
I thought you were more outgoing then this, Krystil. He mused softly, as much playfulness as he could find in his broken voice.
I didnt expect you to be so rough or bold, My Lord. She told him, feathering kisses against the side of his neck.
The hot touch caught him off guard and he held a breaththis would be harder then he thought, not when Suzusa came back at every slightest carress.
His body was having no problem responding to her, her shifting her weight causing a familiar ache to run through him. He snatched up her lips in his own, trying to down the immediate urge to pull away, to let her go, to shout this is wrong a million times over, to tell her everything that she would never know.
He felt bad in a way, knowing that she would forever be his wife, and he knew that as long as he lived, he would never love her in any way like he did Suzusa. She would be the one to be by his side, to have his children, to grow old together with him, and he knew that in his heart she would never be able to compete. He could feel it, even as he undid the zipper along her small back and slipped her out of that dress, revealing her body to the amber glow of the bedroom, as he forced her backwards on to the bed and pinned her underneath him. Her hands had pushed up the folds in his ivory tunic, fingertips running desperately over the ridges of muscle and flesh in his torso, over the taunt confines of his thin silk pants as her caresses teased his aching length. She could never ignite anything in him like his beloved could. His body was on fire, but his insides were cold as ice.
She tore the thin shirt off his body, along with the band at the nape of his neck, freeing his long chestnut hair so that it spilled messily in his face and over his shoulders. His fingers and mouth were all over her, head bent low to teasingly lick one of her nipples, while his fingers were gently forcing her thighs to part slowly, stroking down soft liquid heat. She gave a startled gasp, hand clutching onto his strong arm, fingernails digging into his bicep. Her other hand had been working on undoing the clasps on his pants and had ceased the moment he had begun touching her so, her body not sure what to do in response.
You're taking me higher
High as I could be
His fingers slid further down, moving with slow, gentle experience, listening for her reactions and helping to ease any nervousness she might have with simple distractions like kisses to her neck and breasts. He was a little moved he had been able to do this to her, to affect her this much. He had always thought of himself as a very awkward and clumsy lover, but perhaps he had learned more then he had thought.
His own body was aching fiercely, throbbing against the thin pants and although he could eagerly accept her, his insides were not settling at all. Kissing her, and touching her this wayit was as if someone had set off a hail storm inside of him, that looked like it was not going to end.
His fingers moved to her entrance and he very carefully, not wanting to scare her, pushed a little, letting one slide inside of her. Her body shifted and tensed as she let out a loud gasp and he stopped, waiting a few moments until she had relaxed a little to begin moving with slow, long strokes. It wasnt very long after her hips began to shift down on him, moving back and forth. When he was satisfied that she was alright with this he slid a second finger in. She grimaced a little and tensed again, but after a few seconds of reassuring kissed along her collarbone he was convinced that she would be alright.
He withdrew his hand from her wet heat, listening to her moan in protest, heavy lidded pale orange eyes fluttering open to look up at him. Jugusen-sama She whispered, her voice hoarse with all the panting and heavy breathing.
He managed a small, pained smile, deftly undoing the buttons and zippers on his pants and sliding the clothing off of him, grateful to have those restraining pants off, boxers discarded on the floor in a heap as well.
Krystil lifted her self up slightly to look at him, seriously gaze at all of him in the amber glow of the firelight filling their bedroom. You are incredibly beautiful Jugusen. She told him, meaning it with all of her heart.
Caught off guard with the statement, his dark tan cheeks blushed hotly. As are you Krystil. He replied, forcing her back onto the bed with a rather rough kiss to her neck. He could not spill honeyed words, words that were deceitful lies, as wrong as the ones he had brought on his soulmate when he told her he didnt love her.
Take me away
Forever you and me
The thought caused his chest to ache and he brushed it away as best as he could, hand running down Krystils thighs as he forced her legs open. Her eyes were immediately wide when she realized what he was about to do , and he held her gaze with his own, trying for some kind of comfort. I wont lie to you when I tell you it will hurt at firstbut I will do everything I can to make it feel good.
She nodded, though she still looked a little scaredshe laid her head back and closed her eyes. I trust you. She whispered.
It caused him to smile sadly, paying careful attention to what he was doing as he held her open with one hand to help with the pain and slowly eased himself in. He realized he was holding his breath, just like he had the first time he had ever had to do this, carefully watching to make sure he wasnt moving to fast. She was tensing up on him and he could feel her groan of discomfort beneath her heavy breaths. Leaning down to ravage her neck with his lips he gave a small thrust forward, eyes closed as he pushed all the way into her.
She let out a sharp gasp, body arching into his, tensing and clenching in agony. Jugusen let out the breath he was holding in, lifting his hand to cup the side of her face in his palm. The worst is over. He told her softly, watching as those orange eyes looked up and connected the gaze, filled with aching pain and desire.
He waited until she was sure she was okay and then slowly begun to move, building up speed and power with each thrust. Before long her soft winces were panted moans, her fingers lost against his wings and his hair. Jugusen kept his eyes half closed, head downcast, locks of his chestnut brown hair falling into his face as he was instinctly pushed ever closer to the edge. His body was on autoand his mind was far away, back to another place and time, locked in the bedroom of the Night Elf Princess as she lie within his arms, exhausted and bathed in his kisses and his blazing feathers, sleepily peacefully up against his strong chest, on a night where he could just stare at her perfect beautiful body forever. Suzusa
Krystil cried out, her entire body trembling as she clenched around him and Jugusen was thrown over the edge with her in a furious pace that left him quivering from the impact of the exercise. His arms gave out on him and he collapsed, face buried against her silky raven hair.
I never She breathed after a moment voice exhausted and half gone already. Jugusen-sama, I
It took him a minute or two, but he laughed softly, finding the strength to pull out of her and away. She was more innocent then he had thought she was. Her arrogance was just a facade to the public. Sleep now. He ordered, dropping a kiss on her forehead as he got up, grabbing for his robe as he left the bedroom chamber and headed out onto the balcony, barely tying the flimsy robe around his hard body still sensitive and weak from what had just happened.
Leaning against the railing, he stared out into the depths of the volcano. He didnt want to hear Krystil say she loved him. That she needed him. That she wanted him. He wanted nothing to do with her. His love, the only woman he would ever need was already dead to him, and soon to this world. If he could have taken Suzusa into his arms this night, and held her and shown her just how much he caredif he could have taken her away from Koiya and brought her here and proudly announced that she would be Kazekures next queen, he would have done it. If he could
Take me away
