Little Miss Muffet
(Mulberry Bush)
Little Miss Muffet went out to play
Out to play, out to play
Little Miss Muffet went out to play
So early in the morning.
She saw a spider and ran away
ran away, ran away
She saw a spider and ran away
so early in the morning
Pat a Cake
Pat a cake, pat a cake, baker Sue,
bake me a cake that says, "I Love You."
I've saved up my money;
I'm ready to pay --
I'll give it to Mommy on Valentine's Day.

Jack Be Nimble
Jack Be Nimble.
Jack was quck.
Jack jumped over the candlestick.
Jack kept jumping,
much too close,
Now his pants smell like burnt toast.

Mary, Mary tell me Mary,
How does your garden grow?
My very special garden grows
With tall flowers in a row.
Use this poem and replace with the word tall, with med and short.
For pattern please following this link FLOWERS.
You use the children's own name and they can tell you if they have small, medium or tall flowers.

Little Miss Muffet
Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet,
Eating her cookies three.
Along came a spider
Who sat down beside her,
And stayed with Miss Muffet for tea!

The Little Dog Laughed and other nursery rhymes from Mother Goose
Illustrated by Lucy Cousins. I'm a big fan of Lucy Cousins artwork. My daughter's favourite show is Maisy.
If you are truly a Nursery Rhyme Fanatic - The resource book
Can Mother Goose come down to play?
is essential.

Humanics Learning
Some of the ideas I use in my playroom and have posted on this page have come from this book.
Musical Tuffets - children use chairs as tuffets or you could make tuffets for the children to play musical chairs with.
Spider Legs - Place a body of a spider on flannel or magnetic board. Count with children as the 8 legs are added and then removed.
Hand Spiders - Positional Words - The children can pretend their hands are spiders. They can crawl on, behind, under, over, their own bodies.
Tom's Plum Cups
A recipe to make Little Jack Horner's Plum Cups - I haven't tried the recipe but if someone else does I would love to hear how they turn out.
Nursery Rhyme Time - Early Childhood Thematic Units
A wonderful webpage - with terrific resources. I will be implementing some of them into my own playroom.
Humpty Dumpty Creative

The children will glue the pieces of Humpty Dumpty back together again.
Old Mother Hubbard's Cupboard
Lay a piece of a construction paper horizontally and fold the two sides into middle to make a cupboard . The children can glue pictures of food inside of the cupboard.
