Appearance: Gareth is a red porcupine with green eyes who typically dressed in urban combat fatigues, including grey camoflauge pants, black under-armor, and a grey multi-pocketed vest. He also normally wears a beret cocked at a jaunty angle, usually black.

Personality: Gareth is cocky, talkative, and utterly self-assured. As such, he can be really annoying in combat.

History: Much of Gareth's early history is unknown. The Raiders only know that he is the commander of the Reavers, a mercenary group that first appeared under the payroll of Karasu. His initial assault on the Raiders was launched while under the influence of Juice, simply to test their capabilities. He was captured and later freed by Karasu.

His next appearance came in an more organized assault on the Raiders during a raid in Metropolis. He witnessed his companions, empowered by Juice, fight and lose to the Raiders before he fled. He thought the Raiders too powerful to take on without appropriate backup, and since his contract with Karasu soon expired, he thought he would be able to avoid facing them again. However, he was contracted once more to face this, this time by a dissillusioned ex-TDF soldier looking for revenge.

Thanks to the information he had gathered on the Raiders on his last two encounters he retooled his unit. His newest additions include hiring on a band of Dark Soltari as well as paying the free agents Vera and Rune Rath to serve with him. His belief is that these meta-creatures (creatures with special abilities) would give his Reavers the edge they need in battle.

In early 2008, Gareth launched an operation that involved kidnapping certain under-powered Raiders and imprisoning them until a second operation could be run to publicly defeat the Raiders. Both operations went south when the group of kidnapped Raiders escaped and sent a distress call to the main group who soon arrived at their base amidst literal fire and lightning. At the tail end of the battle, Gareth fought Killane and revealed that he had been the sniper who had killed his wife  nearly five years prior. Killane beat him viciously into submission and shot both of his hands, effectively ruining the marksman's career.

The Tolarian Defense Force then rounded up as many Reavers as they could and locked them away. Gareth is currently held in a TDF facility, healing and plotting his next move against the Raiders. Until now, it had always been a job.

Now it was personal.
