Of the Emeralds and the Echidnas, as told by Mizz |
| Before first beast would crawl out of the ocean to
walk upon the land, 'They' were already there. Sparkling in the young
sun while burning land would churn their forms, born were they before
rain, forest and man and for a long time each would know only of the
land and themselves. As time would pass each could acknowledge more and soon, of course, each other and gather they would in a place lost to the memory of time. Using energies and wisps they would build a city like no other before... and no which would never be built again. All of them; The Emeralds, would live within this city each supporting one another and growing in knowledge and power. Within this city stood the pool of knowledge where, it is rumoured, all knowledge of the planet, at the time, was held. But no city can stand against time for ever... during the days when large reptile like creatures would walk the earth, 'They' took on a project, using knowledge and power gathered, they created an item, the function of this item be still a guarded secret... but no secret it is that upon completion the collective of the Emeralds would shatter and break into war. The war of the Emeralds would last many years, large reptiles would perish as aggressive forces would shower all of the lands and disaster would strike as the sun was covered by darkness, freezing most like and land. Still the war would continue, the Emeralds now split into two sides; those wishing to control the item and those wishing to protect it from the prior side. It took centuries but finally all wishing to control the item would be cast away into the darkness of space... sun would return but the collective was broken, never to be fixed... so Emeralds would part, some would also travel into space, while others would travel to different places upon the planet and settle there, alone. One Emerald would take upon itself; the protection of the item that had caused the fall of precious city and family, making 7 children in it's image to assist in this quest. Over time, each Emerald would reach a new level of existence, no had had been sought for a time uncalculated and with the new existence came new skills and knowledge sought. The protector Emerald would make itself a race; to watch them grow and learn... red they were in appearance, hands made to cultivate the earth and strong minds even though young; the Echidnas It was not long after this, that an old foe would find it's way back to the home planet, the darkness of space had changed this old member of family who claimed that the item, that had been the cause of war before, belonged to them and engaged in a war again, with the protector. During this war, the protector would make 5 more children of Chaos to combat the darkness' children of Shadow. Echidnas would suffer as war between once sisters would rage on still... yet history would repeat itself and Shadow would be cast away into space once more. For now, the Emerald would rest, energies sapped by war, only placing one of it's children into the Echidna race... and the Echidnas who had survived would rebuild their Kingdom alone. From the skies man would fall, bringing with it creatures similar to the Echidnas, some of which would escape and form 3 races. Man grew separate as the 3 races and the Echidnas would work on a project, pouring in knowledge into the Gizoid. Since the Emerald had lost the race which it wanted to watch, a new one it would make, small and sweet the new race would live around the Emerald, singing songs and playing, protected by one of the 5 children of Chaos. Yet greed would call to the Echidnas and they tried to steal the 7 children made in the image of the Emerald, the servers and destroying the young race protected by one of the children. This child would unleash the power of Chaos upon the land of the Echidnas, bringing about their end and stopped only by the Chaos child that had be placed into the Echidna society. At this time the Gizoid had picked up the energy of the child of Chaos that had destroyed the Echidnas and copied the might, bringing destruction and ruin to the other 3 races of the land and man, ripping apart the technology of man and leaving only handfuls of each race. With so much destruction created, the Emerald decided then to protect itself so that history would no repeat, lifting it's land into the sky it would hide within the clouds, making one of it's Chaos children a guardian in the flesh of the Echidna race. Another child would be sent to live among the new races that were growing... to watch and keep secrets. The last child would sleep until recent years, this child was activated to protect the planet and it's peoples, gifted with the talent of speed it would stand against tyranny of any kind. |
