| Tolaria was created by combined efforts of the Elementals, a group
of gods and goddesses representing the basic functions of life. The
"earthly" elementals were those who came down to Mobius and created
Tolaria by molding it with their own hands. These were the Elementals
Kaios (Wind), Kain (Fire), Gaea (Earth), Imbrium (Water), and Thanatos
(Death). The Ethereal Elementals were those who molded the lands from a higher existence. These Elementals are known as Chronos (Time), Serra (Life), Tentai (Good), and Akuma (Evil). They resolved not to interfere in the lives of the islanders, but rather guard them from above. Tentai and Akuma are the highest of the Elementals and abide only by the rules they set down for themselves. Although the names of these gods and goddesses may vary from region to region, but the Elementals are the only known deities that watch over Tolaria. |
