Emeralds |
| When the Elementals were defeated, long ago, their bodies were
destroyed and their spirits sealed within these emeralds. If a sentient
creature were to ever touch these emeralds, their consciousness would be
overwhelmed and their body, stolen by the appropriate god. It is through
this procedure that many of the Elemental Wars were started. Only the
proper Guardian of the island may withstand the power of the gods and
touch the emeralds without consequence. As for the emeralds themselves, they were once stored inside of their temples. When this became too dangerous, they were moved to special chambers built on the inside of the volcano in the center of the island. Due to a variety of changes, they are now stored in the Twilight Temple hidden within the Holy Grounds. |
