Currently, there are about 200 people gathering for weekly Bible study and this group is comprised of people from three different villages. There are two services held on Sunday mornings and one service on Wednesday nights. Before each service, the people are being fed in a food line that has been set up by Nonobert and some of the local villagers.
The Lord has been sending laborers to assist Nonobert and we pray that the work will continue to go forth even while Nonobert returns to the USA for a season. We have Joey, Kawi, Quisin, Gina, Elena, and Mario asssiting in this challenging work. Please keep them lifted up in prayer. The assistant pastor's name is Boray Bago. Please pray for pastor Bago as he will continue the work among hte B'laan while Nonobert returns to the USA to be with his wife and family as they are expecting their second child.
Mass evangelism is taking place and more souls are being won for Christ daily.
A small training facility and meeting place is still under construction and should be completed by the end of this month. This will not be the actual church building, but, will serve as a shelter from the rain and the hot sun for the time being.
Please pray for health among the B'laan tribe as several persons have died due to unknown illnesses . Some are very young in age.
Nonobert will return to the USA soon so we also solicite your prayers for safe travel.
The Abundant Life Church missions team will have the opportunity to work among the B'laan tribe during the month of April 2001, Lord willing.
