| ABUNDANT LIFE CHURCH INTHE PHILIPPINES !!! |
| The Abundant Life Church Mission Team has returned from the Philippines !!! Upon thier arrival to the mountain villages, the missions team members were greeted with a ceremonial dance and hand-made beaded necklaces from the B'laan tribe. The B'laan also gave their tribal sword (which has been in the tribe for hundreds of years) to pastor Woodrow Walker as a gift. The missions team members did the Sunday morning and afternoon church services and each member had an interpreter. While staying in the mountains, among the B'laan, there was a church dedication as well as several baby dedications. Many came to know the Lord !!! The ALC Missions team also ministered down in the city to thousands of Filipinos at a Youth Convention where the Holy Spirit moved mightily. At the present, the Jerry & Ann Butler Training Center is being staffed. This multipurpose training facility has one teacher thus far and 20 students. A "New Beginners" class which explains the fundamentals about Christianity and the church according to the Bible will be taught in the comming months. After the course (which will also ensure that the B'laan know and understand why they should be baptized), there will be a mass baptism. Work is still being done on the roads and also to get running water to the villages. Vehicles are next on the list as far as purchasing equipment . Picutres of the April 2001 mission trip will be posted soon. As for the Malit family, Soneta and Nonobert are the proud parents of a bouncing baby boy. Hezekiah Gamaliel Malit arrived on May 10, 2001 at 6:38pm weighing 9 pounds and 14 ounces. Soneta had a normal delivery with no complcations. Thank you all for your prayers.
