mud_eater

I caught this fish barehanded below the Vanderkloof Dam on the Oranje River. This species is called a Mud Eater, so I guess they eat mud or something. These fish are preyed upon by the giant catfish also living in the river, and this is about as large as they are abl to get before they are eaten. I don't particularly like this picture, but it is the only one I have of the only fish I ever caught barehanded, and with the exception of the Oranje Palmfish, the only fish I ever caught in Africa
