Girl selling hand-made flowers using coconut leaves at 200 kyats each. Ma Aung Kyint is 6-year-old. She will here at the same place outside the pagoda to make her trade everyday. Her father has gone to Upper Myanmar to seek job while her family of four is left in Yangon. They lived in a make-shift hut near the Yangon port. Her mother wasn't able to send her to school and she has to earn extra cash to supplement the household's meagre income. I didn't buy the flowers from her but still gave her 200 kyats nonetheless. It may only 50 singapore cents, but it is sufficient to provide her family with warm food for one day. |
