A visit to Myanmar will not be complete without visiting the Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the architectural wonders in Asia and the essence of Burmese culture heritage. The Shwedagon is the holiest shrine in Myanmar which all Burmese aspires to visit at least once in their life. According to historical texts, the pagoda is 2,500 years old and it houses 8 strands of hair of Gautama Buddha.
