EVALUATION OF JET CLAW PUMPS
The use of the jet-pump, in the hydraulic pumping system, is the most versatile for well evaluation. As a fluid is injected at high pressure it generates a change of pressures, which permit that the pump functions causing a vacuumn in the fluid formation.
With this system, we test exploratory wells, advanced wells and those in the developing stages. The obtained data is trustworthy, the operations are simple and the test times are short, giving an optimal result regarding the resources.
Tests are conducted with different flows and pressures of injection fluad. Thus, obtaining data of proven reserves with a register for pressure (BUILD-UP). The pump to be used is selected through software of the company. The data it generates, allows us to determine the pressure at flowing-bottom and the maximum potential of the well, and also if it can handle production up to 12,000 BFPD.
There are two existing types of jet pumps: the conventional one, whose movable- flow is injected trough the tubing and returns the production, plus the injection through the annular-space; and the reverse pump, which functions by injecting the mobile fluid through the annular-space and returns the production plus the injection through the tubing. These pumps are in place in the hole or a in a portable unit.
With the results, the client decides the artificial elevation time to install to obtain the maximum production of his well.
