Ok, so I've been playing this game for about a week now. I have two level 13 characters, one Yeksa and the other Asura. So far this game is looking good. By this time have some decent gear and abilities, problem is there is no one around? I've mainly had to solo my guys so far, it's very hard to find a party to group with. Besides this, everyone runs smooth. I'm running an AMD Athlon 1.8ghz, 512mb ram, Nvidia GeForce 4 MX 64mb graphics card(does not have pixel shading). The game download was 251mb, took 15 minutes to download. Now I'm running the game on the highest settings, no hinder in performance and zero lag. I really think they should get around 100 people in town at the same time to test the lag. Around town you'll find various vendors, pharmacist, jeweler, blacksmith, armorer and more. The town is huge. No shortage of space around town. To level you just go outside the city walls and there are baddies you can kill. They don't attack you unless you attack them, they just walk around. They are pretty easy and if you want harder guys you walk further from town, further from town the harder they get. |

Every single monster you kill drops gold, the harder they are the more gold they drop, so money really isn't a problem. Graphics wise, game looks great. I've hit a couple glitches where sections of baddies won't show up, besides that no other problems. Textures are good and well placed. Character detail is just down right amazing. You can get some good views because of the camera control. You can move the camera in any direction and zoom in and out. Problem I'm having now, is getting to level 10 took me about 30 minutes, my two characters are both level 13 right now. When I go to level them, I'm not strong enough for the guys who give the really good xp, and the others I barely get any. Biggest problem right now is there are not enough closed beta testers. Whenever I log on the most people I saw online in town was 7 people. So now I have to slowly struggle with smaller guys because nobody will party up. They should add 100 more testers, there are 2 servers that's 50 per server, that would test possible lag problems when say 75 people are in town at one time. Or test out and see how good of a party oriented game, or solo game this is. But anyways, this is my early review of Tantra, will be posting my mid review in 2 weeks. |
