    CAJUN ZYDECO MIDI

    "Don't Mess with my Toot-toot"
    Recorded in 1985

The rubboard sound is added to Zydeco music by some musicians.
"Les haricots" is the French spelling for "Zydeco". The word means String Beans. I guess that's why the Zydeco Festival is held in a bean field every year. Zydeco is a very popular style of music which was started in 1950, and has really caught on in last 13 years. The first song I remember is "Don't Mess With My Toot-Toot". There is no mistaking the distinctive style of "Zydeco" music. The personal style of Clifton Chenier's talent has gained widespread recognition for Zydeco music.
Some people often confused traditional Cajun music and the Zydeco music style. They are NOT one and the same.
