Welcome to a new week. I hope you are in it with a new attitude. Last Saturday several boxes of books were delivered at my home by an NGO working in Tema called BOOKS FOR HOPE. I was away attending my cousin's
funeral in the holy village when the delivery was made. So we have over 4,000 books now. But these are books that we cannot give as awards. They are small magazines with Christian stuff. These we will give to
the schools including the primary/JSS at Sogasco and Sogakope itself. Each pupil/student can get a copy. This builds them up, studying christian values in very educative but interesting ways.
Case 2: I have been to Sogasco (Friday) and had separate discussions with the Asst Headmistress and the headie Goka. They have committees in place. We have to try and go have a meeting with them to streamline our plans; See what needs to be done and what they can do for us/ on our behalf. The event is big news on campus and everyone teaching/nonteaching staff and students) is preparing most feverishly for it.
Case 3: I was at SOSA meeting last Saturday. I was joined by Yao Agbengu and Gavor George at the SOSA meeting (Patrick Ocloo tried to, but was late). Hot issues were raised, but I explained and also defended 85s on every front. It wasn't easy, but I know how to handle issues raised at that forum. They now have a more effective plan to attend the event. It is the biggest event of the year.
Case 4: I had news this morning that one Bismarck Agabti (our junior) in the same 'office' as Felix Bosrotsi passed away last Thursday(?). He was the guy who helped with our work with the minister for Reg Coop and Nepad. He was working on the invitation for that minister again for our anniversary. May his soul rest in peace!
All ye all, we need to speed up our efforts to get more funds from other sources. so far we have not made much progress. There is a lot to do, so please wake up. I sent an invitation to JJ Rawlings personally
last Friday and inside filla is that he .... so please keep in mind our meeting for sunday 16 october 2005.
