All ye All,
Yesterday was a great day!! It rained all day, but our meeting was not rained off. Folks never used the rain as a reason for not attending the meeting. I am really grateful to all ye all for your commitment and sacrifice.
Our monthly meeting was held in the midst of news of folks loosing relatives and in-laws. Grace Wotuh and Felix Bosrotsi have each lost an in-law and were preparing for funerals...Adeti Stephen has also lost a sister but they were all at the meeting.
The main issues discussed at the meeting were as follow:
a. The meeting (and agreements) reached with stakeholders at Sogasco on 25th June 2005 were
'endorsed'.
b. A plan for the implementation of the anniversary was developed. (Please see the attached). There are 3 committees constituted, FINANCE, PUBICITY and PROTOCOL/ORGANISATION under the respective leadership of Gameli Anaglate, Evershed Amuzu and Sam Eworyi.
FINANCE: Gameli Anaglate, Wisdom Dzoti-Acquah, Victoria Djabeng, Yao Agbengu, Lydia Adjokatse, Edusah Gadiel and Felix Bosrotsi.
PUBLICITY: Evershed Amuzu, Agbezuge Doe-Lawson, Carly Ahiable Carly, Felix Bosrotsi and Sam Eworyi.
PROTOCOL/ORGANISATION: Sam Eworyi, Felix Bosrotsi, Yao Agbengu, Grace Wotuh, Lydia, Adjokatse, Ivy Tay, Stephen Adeti.
Each committee is to develop a plan of work that will facilitate the celebration; A budget for each plan must also be submitted.
It ought to be noted that membership in one committee does not preclude membership in others. In other words, one person can belong to all the committees depending on what the person is capable of 'delivering, however, there must be one to which the person will have the 'greatest' commitment. The group members should please be in touch with each other and please set the ball rolling even before we meet next month.
Seli Susu will be the coordinator for our international efforts, whilst the association's
Chairman becomes the coordinator for all (local/international) efforts towards the celebration.
Seli and the Chairman, thus 'belong' to all the committees.
Every member of the association is very much encouraged to join at least one of the committees.
Please let's get on board and get the onerous but honourable task done.
