APPEAL FOR ASSISTANCE
We are past students of Sogakope Secondary School (SOGASCO) in the Volta Region of Ghana, West Africa. We members of the 1985 Year Group have formed the Sogasco '85 Association to enable us help the school and students in general to achieve their dream.
We will be celebrating our 20th anniversary after school in November, 2005. The anniversary will, among other things, stimulate dialogue between old students, staff, students and the general (local and international) community in order to help mobilize resources to support the development of the school.
As a result, we are working on finding assistance to help provide the under listed items which are direly needed to improve academic work and also ensure the general development of hundreds of young boys and girls in the school.
**Text books for use in the classrooms by students and teachers
**Books, magazines and journals for the Library
**Chairs and tables for students and teachers for use in the classrooms
**Windows for the classrooms, girls and boys dormitories, administration block and offices and some staff quarters.
**Farming and gardening tools for the school to help grow their own food.
**Sports equipment for all games activities held in the school, locally and regionally.
**Medical items for the Infirmary for use by the entire school and for emergencies.
**Computers for the library, to be used by all students and teachers.
**External help to neighboring schools in a small way; also promote education of farmers/fishermen, mothers/women to educate their children; HIV/AIDS prevention amongst all groups in the schools and villages
Any assistance you can provide will be warmly received; nothing is too small to help us help the future leaders to help themselves.
