WOMAN IN WIG MAN IN FISHBOWL

the day before valentine's day

A woman sits waiting.

A man walks past.

The day begins.

an epic domestic comedy of tragic proportions.....

told with dance, spoken word, song and electrical appliances

WOMAN IN WIG MAN IN FISHBOWL is a tragi-comedy about detachment and love. In their separate worlds two eccentrics are waiting. It is the day before Valentine's Day. Hoping for flowers, a card or a message they wait as their lives are invaded by bizarre stories and images. Do they truly believe in their carefully constructed fantasies, or are their fantasies reality?

REVIEW HIGHLIGHTS

"Woman in Wig Man in Fish Bowl settles into a thoughtful and always entertaining tragi-farce. McPhee, she of the volumes speaking body, created this with actor David Williams and they perform it with bizarre flair."  The Mercury 1998

"McPhee and Williams work well together, each having a strong stage presence complementing, rather than overwhelming, the other. William’s rich voice and McPhee’s intuitive understanding of dramatic timing combine to make Woman in Wig Man in Fish Bowl a thought provoking and highly entertaining piece."  Dance Australia 1998
