RANDOM THOUGHTS AND FACTS

Andrew also has his eyebrow pierced.

 Will usually performs barefoot.

In the original Something Corporate band there was a guy named Ruben and there was no Will. I have heard that Ruben quit the band to further his education therefore, Will joined.

 Clutch has his lip pierced.

"Clutch" is not his real name no matter what the official website tells you. Look in the Ready . . . Break! CD, look in there for a hint. ;o)

Andrew is the youngest member and Will is the oldest.

Josh likes to be spontaneous with his hair.

Before the song "Drunk Girl" on the Ready . . . Break! CD, if you listen close, you can hear one of the band members walk through a door and say, "So.. who's the lucky lady?"

Also before "Babies of the 80s" you can hear another band member say "Red light means STOP!"

And again, before "Mulligan Goes to War" you can hear Andrew say, "What can I say? The man had chiggers."

The majority (if not all) of the Something Corporate shows with The Juliana Theory sold out. (Including the one in Cincinnati, Ohio, that I went to!)

Andrew's piano stickers are gifts from fans!

"Punk Rock Princess" is a cool, catchy song. But an older recording of it was a very slow, pretty ballad, and was called "Heroine."

Five songs in "Leaving Through the Window" gets its lush sounds from a 26 piece orchestra! The string arrangements were written and conducted by Grammy winner Paul Buckmaster, who also worked with Train, David Bowie, and SC's role model, Elton John.

Kevin got his alias The Legendary Clutch from a cable movie!

One of their arguably best songs is called "Konstantine," which is over 9 minutes long! However it's so good that listeners usually don't even realize how long it is. Despite its length and challenging piano part, Something Corporate plays this song quite a bit live.

When they are performing at big clubs such as the House of Blues, SC sometimes has a small orchestra play along with them for songs like "Walking By."

Coming up with "Something Corporate" was a complete accident....Andrew simply stated that the name should be "something corporate," as in corporate sounding, but he liked the way it sounded!

Andrew says that "iF yoU C Jordan" was never meant to be their breakthrough hit. When he originally wrote it, it was out of anger, a joke song for his friends. But the band liked it so much that they recorded it!

I have often wondered if there is some connection with the month December. I mean, there's "Forget December", "your mother was born in December" from "Walking By", and "wake up to the thought of you, it's December.." from "I don't Want a Job". Maybe it's just the fact that December rhymes with a lot of things (kinda.) Maybe there's a "connection". Let me know what you think.
