Registration went as smooth as silk. The cats had a feast while the dogs stood to the side and salivated. We all got to see Yahoo Social newcomers Double, Kibitz and Finesse. If you missed these adorable puppies, check out Rebos’ profile. So, Round 1 began with sated cats and starving dogs. The battle was on!

A triumphant howl was heard as Xbrorsen and Jean reported the first slam of the day. This was soon overshadowed by the catcophony of noise when Melkor and Aimejoue announced their 7N slam. Finally, as results were pouring in, Bert and Ernietomcat reveled in concatulations for the 6C doubled slam. Round 1 ended with the cats leading by a bare 8-6 margin.

Since Puppyfinn was still missing in action, the hounds had to start another session with no food in them. The hunger was strong! Results poured in (seemed to be raining cats and dogs to this witch). Round 2 ended with yet another slam for the felines The score was … TIED!! 14-14.

While waiting patiently for this poor witch to get Round 3 paired, the hounds were finally fed. Fortunately, the food had little effect on either species (or their friends). All were ready to fight to the bitter end. Then, tragedy struck! Humans were dropping like flies sprayed with Raid. Mrykath had to leave, but was quickly replaced by Rueful_Rabbit (who was an ever-so-gracious cur for the round). Older_Swiss_Guy felt the need to run and his seat was filled by Borderline. Dpman became MIA due to a faulty server. And, finally, Kimmer came up missing and Kaiwindig seemed to be dead in the water. Replacements were needed and the confusion began. Fortunately, our most beloved feline Iain appeared to play with DeltaGayl and all was well.

So results were yipped and hissed and snarled and purred one by one. Mom_Precious/OverTroubledWaters and JickytheJinx/Springer reported a tie. The final result was 29-27 felines! Twas a true sueaker and nailbiter til the end!!
