The dogs put on the party in the alley today but Yahoo wouldn't let the games go on. Redwitch and Kenny_ha2 got there early and had the tables set up and the bar open. Wouldn't you know, just as everything got under way and was running smoothly, the server crashed. Undaunted by the disruption, everyone put on their best green and headed for the nearest bar which just happened to be in the super-sub room. Sometimes cats and dogs can get along and on Saint Patrick's Day, they did just that. We can continue the battle next week but this week we will be happy with drinking a green beer with some friends.

Things started off well. The Irish were present in full regalia sending St. Patrick Day greetings to cat and dog alike. The dogs were in fine form howling their confidence. The cats were hissing and declaring they would take back what was rightfully theirs. Round One started and tragedy struck! First, Saint_Patrick's_Cat couldn't get a bidding box. What was a cat to do but come back using one of its nine lives and then another life and then another. Then, Yahoo seemed to be celebrating much too much (the Bay Area is known for its St. Patrick's Day brawls, you know). Apparently, the green beer flowed in Silicon Valley and flowed and obviously flowed some more since Yahoo crashed and took the beloved Ryder with it. After many attempts to reload and even more messages from many of you advising of your inability to get back, the Ryder was called off (although we do understand that some of you continued to play in the Zone -- hope you all had a good time there).

Hopefully, Yahoo will soon solve its problems so that we can again have successful and fun tourneys. See you all next week!
