RyderReport Saturday 17th November
Ferocious Dogs Triumph!

By: Wayne
Today was my third attempt at directing the Ryder. I found it very hard to keep a straight face when I saw the sorry mutts turning up for their 11th successive massacre.
The first two I directed ended in Dog Victory, this one was going to be sooooooooo different, I brought my own dealers, I confused the players, I bribed, cheated and brought in ringers, but to no avail.
I have to say the Dogs were better on the day (I don’t believe I just said that)
I am relatively proud of the fact that my attitude and conduct was that befitting a status of impartiality, I believe (contrary to some opinion) that I ran the Tournament with out the slightest flaw in proceedings and that no one can accuse me of being in favour of one team or the other.
Statistics and Information
Round 1, Longrob and Jicky 6c & 7nt, xbrorsen and Moysian 6nt
The score at the end of round 1 was 13 to the Dogs, 4 to the cats

Round 3, No slams
The score at the end of round 3 was 20 to the Dogs, 14 to the cats

Making the cats a close second
Problems
My apologies to Mykath, imtigger, Francylou, jimkat, Hbear and Bobsgirlanne for all the problems I had getting them sorted out.
My apologies for pairing Xbrorsen and Moysian against Rob and Mel, as they had requested them as opponents and consequently got their butts kicked.
I am reporting all cat teams to Dee, as their performance was not as I expected and she will be taking the necessary action to make sure you improve your performance next week.
It seems that big dog will be reported to Dee also for corrective action (if he is lucky), as I think I heard a bit of gloating in his last growl of the night and it was unfairly aimed at an impartial director.
AND last but not least thank you to all the Subs
AND last but not least again You won’t do it again next week as I will be playing
And last but not least, a DRAW is as good as a LOSS in my eyes
Note: Anyone who qualified for a trophy this week, please send me an e-mail and I will get it posted. (OY)
