Cats have a purrfect day

The alley was expected to be quiet with many of the regulars in Palm Springs, but as soon as the sun set and the crates were laid out dogs and cats started springing out from everywhere. The novice director was startled. Thankfully the pro was on standby in case of disasters.

The cats clawed their way out to an early lead. The dogs seemed unconcerned, they had been invincible of late and support was expected from California. As the cat lead slowly grew in the first round the bad news arrived from Palm Springs, there was only going to be one round out there. This battle was definitely going to be decided in the alley. 8-4 to the cats after the first round was surely reversable jamesgreywolf assured the dogs that the cats had no stamina.

With round 2 well underway the results came in from California. A 3-2 win to the cats. The bookies were astounded did the felines really have a chance this time? An 11-6 lead was definitely a good way to start. Where was the canine crunch of recent weeks?

By the end of round 2 the moggies had extended their lead slightly to 18-11. If they were to retain their stranglehold on the trophy the doggies would have to win at 8 of the 12 tables in the final round. It wasn't to be when cluckingcat and harlequinsmiles won their match it was all over with five tables still in play. The cats finally ran out 32-21 and the alley was full of cats talking of their purrfect day.
