Cats Launch Inquiry

And Al the Dealer

The Cats launched an inquiry today into the stunning upset by the Dogs. This led to the launching of Al the Dealer who failed to keep his part of the bargain with the Cats. Shown here is Francylou severing all current ties with the infamous Al the Dealer. Rumor has it that although the Dogs are willing to sign a deal with the now deposed Rat, he is stuck to the ceiling and unable to negotiate for a while. Fast_Shuffle_Sally will be filling in pending Al's recovery. Sally is being brought in from Vegas so as long as Ryderpuppy, who lives in Las Vegas, hasn't gotten to her, she should be "clean". I would suggest the Cats bring plenty of cheese next week just in case.

Some little rats, obviously friends of Al, were protesting the launching stating that although the Dogs won twice as many matches in the first round as did the Cats, as well as winning twice as many in the second round, the Cats did make a comeback in the last round. This was obviously no consolation to S_cat_erbrain who had brought cake and ice cream to celebrate his birthday. Plunging the rat headlong into a bowl of slowly melting butterscotch ripple had little effect on anyone except Smilodonkiwi, who was eating from the bowl at the time. Lorrocat tried to calm down the boiling mob by saying the Cats only came up 4 points short and that was close. That seemed to do the trick. Not quite the calming down as intended, but just the opposite. "LAUNCH HIM" - called the Cats almost in unison. From somewhere on the dark ceiling, a rat-like smudge was heard to squeak "Final score Dogs 20 Cats 16".

I heard a rumor the other day that the mayor was wanting to close Max's Alley because there was too much activity there on a Saturday. Well, let me tell you, that upset a lot of people around here. Enough to at least find out what was going on. It turns out that a friend of the mayor let it slip that the mayor thought the alley activities overshadowed his visit and didn't think it was fair. When questioned about this, the mayor was shocked and issued the following statement. "Let me tell you this, I have never had sex with ….. opps!! I have never even thought of closing Max's Alley. I am not jealous of the fun that goes on there. I am not upset that the Alley gets more recognition in the press. I never said the alley should be renamed Mayor Place. I would like to remind you all that I am wonderful and deserve your votes." Somehow, I am not sure of the mayor's sincerity. It appears to me that our little mayor wonders why we don't pay a little more attention to him. I think we can chalk this rumor up to jealousy and enjoy ourselves knowing there will never be an end to what was started in Max's Alley. The mayors of the world will come and go, some will do good and be remembered for that, others - oh well.

Happy Birthday Iain
