Dogs Capture Play-book - Cats Collapse

A mysterious photo circulated the alley after Saturday's event which backs up claims by the cats of dastardly doggie infiltration. Ryderpuppy (in one of many disguises) is captured here red-handed with the cats closely guarded secret book. It is unknown at this time if the puppy acted alone or if she was aided by a cat turncoat. In any event, serious charges have been made that these secrets were shared with other dogs thereby putting the poor cats under unfair duress. The entire matter has been referred to the Committee on Alley Ethics. This committee, made up mostly of rats crushed by the cats in the early days of the alley games, and rooftop birds anxious to swoop in for the kill, will review the facts and come up with a ruling sometime today. They normally would rule on the day of the event, however too many were bent over with laughter and others couldn't stifle the snickers long enough to vote. To ensure fairness, the committee has appointed the famous lawyer Ieatcatsforlunch to represent the cats cause. We have been assured there is no connection between this case and the sudden appearance of secret agent Pob in a doggie suit this week. His partner, Orla, has filed an affidavit stating he can't even read. In the end, the truth will out. Justice will be served. In the mean time, I hope those rats and birds stop rolling on the alley floor laughing in time for next week's battle.

Who do you suppose this is a picture of? I found this poster hanging on the wall of Al-the-Dealer's office. He apparently places great pride in making people wait. Well, yesterday was Al's birthday (Apologies to SandraJoy who shares the same time frame with such a villain - but HAPPY BIRTHDAY anyway SandraJoy). On his birthday he gets generous. Not too generous mind you. Just enough to make people want to keep coming back. It may not have been purrrfect, but Harlequin_smiles thinks it was close enough. The bidding went Pass by his RHO, 7Clubs by Harle. Ryderpuppy and Vastnarrow immediately clicked undo thinking to help with his "mis-click". Even his partner GaleB offered an undo. Harle thanked the Yahoo designers that the undo feature wasn't based on majority rule. He was looking at Spades- AKQJTx Hearts - void Diamonds - void Clubs - AKQJTxx. Ryderpuppy led the ace of Diamonds and a claim was made for 13. Wow, what a hand. Just so none of you think Al is going soft in the head, picture a Spade lead which gets ruffed.
