This week saw the return of the faithful Bigdog who seemed surprised to hear that his team managed to win two weeks running. Further confusion arose for Bigdog when his partner came in, CAThugo. There was an embarrassed yelp and Bigdog fled the alley coming back as the mild mannered Kenny mumbling about incompatibility.

Amidst all the usual pre-match jibing there was an observation, or was it a complaint, made that the cat team also consisted of other creatures. Namely a scorpion, a ladybug and a couple of birds or was it one bird and a fruit?

Despite chaos ruling once more and despite grumbles that your honorable director was fixing things for the cats round 1 commenced. It only seemed like minutes until the dogs drew first blood. The cats clawed back several times but the round ended 8-5 in the dogs favour.

The cats huddled and prepared their war chants. Jamesgreywolf was already scenting victory and was inciting the dogs to threepeat their winning ways. As the results trickled in through bloodied paws it became clear that the cats were not going to give up without a struggle and the round ended tied at 13 all.

Amid vicious snarling and sharpening of claws the teams paired off for the last and vital round. I thought I heard a pleading tweet for easier opponents please, but, to prove to my doubters that I was fair and noble, I blatantly ignored the request! The results came through bit by bit. First one side then the other took the lead. This week however could not be a draw and even I held my breath and at the close of play James' howling had worked history had threepeated. I don't know what they were drinking but whatever it was, it is now all gone. Judi has made it a personal crusade to rid Spain of the offending brew. Watch out London - they are headed your way next.

For those of you who have been asking about our daughter Caroline, she is feeling much better. Although the accident totaled the car, both she and the driver were lucky to walk away with no serious injury. She was treated and released with medication and some of the most gruesome bruises you'd ever wish to see. Although she is sore and shaken, she will not take any time away from her acting. Her show opens today and there is no way she will not go on. Thank you all for your concern.
