Join in the complaining action against the indifference of Valencia’s city council facing up the situation of the resourcesless families who are being removed from their homes because of the building works in Avda. de los Naranjos. You just have to send an email to the city council and then tell your contacts to do the same. I know about the situation that are causing the building works in the widening of Avda. de los Naranjos, that’s the reason why around ten families without resources have been removed and are now living in the street, and in a short spare of time about 35 more families could be in the same situation.

By this email, I want to show you my big concern when I’ve known that the city council is not taking real steps to solve this problem. The fact that these people live there illegally doesn’t excuse you to remove then in any way and leave them on the street. Specially, I want to show you my worry about the children, which are the ones that will really suffer with this situation. The children affected by this removal will de deprived of what has been their house in the last years and probably they will also lose their school year. Those problems will cause them serious emotional and psychological disorders... 

Regarding the previous, I ask the city council of Valencia to make a honest effort to solve the situation of these families. Under my opinion, a first step would be to delay the removal until summer. After that it should be opened an extraordinary process in order to lodge these families, based on an effective support to allow them to get a flat that they can rent and on a subsidy system according to each family situation.
