Fakie or Switch: To ride the opposite of your normal stance. For example, a left-foot-forward person riding with their right-foot-forward.

Backside: The area behind you which is not visible. During a backside trick or spin, you are blind for the first part of the maneuver. This action is clockwise for regular-footers and counter-clockwise for goofy-footers.

Backside Wall: The half-pipe wall that you approach on your heelside. This wall is the left one for regular-footers and the right for goofy-footers.

Boning a Leg:
Straightening a leg during an aerial maneuver.

Flat-Bottom:
The flat part in the center of the pipe betwwen the left and right transitions.

Frontside:
The area in front of you that is visible. During a frontside trick or spin, you are blind for the second part of the maneuver. This action is counter-clockwise for regular-footers and clockwise for goofy-footers.

Frontside Wall:
The half-pipe wall that you approach on your toeside. This wall is the right one for regular-footers and the left one for goofy-footers.

Grab:
Grabbing an area of the board while in the air.

Half-pipe:
A "U" shaped trench in which you ride up the walls, get airborne, and perform tricks.

Heelside Edge:
The edge of the board where your heels are. It is the left side of the board for regular-footers and the right side for goofy-footers.

Invert:
Any maneuver in which you are upside-down in the air.

Lip:
The edge or top of a pipe wall or jump that you are taking off from.

Kicker:
Another word for a snow jump.

Nollie:
Crouch for power and then press down on the nose of the board for snap while jumping.

Ollie:
Crouch for power and then press down on the tail of the board for snap while jumping.

Quarter-pipe:
Basically one side of a half-pipe in which there is a path or run-in leading to it.. 

Spin:
A rotation while in the air.

Tabletop Jump:
A jump with a ramp leading up to it. At the lip, the ramp drops off slightly, giving way to a flat section which is followed by a landing ramp. The objective is to clear the flat section and get to the landing ramp to avoid a flat landing. 

Toeside edge:
The edge of the board where your toes are. It is the right side of the board for regular-footers and the left side for goofy-footers.

Transition or Tranny:
The curved part of a pipe between the flat-bottom and the vertical.

Vertical or Vert:
The vertical part of a pipe after the transition where you get airborne.
