| 14 10 04 I havn't typed much on my own hp in a while It had been quite busy at uni with heaps of group work due. But after mon, no more group work; but yet more three more assessment after mon before final. (Ha, just found this pretty nice bgground on geocities) Anyway, law...I am having or will have a hard time catching up on law..blah blah. Maybe I should stop writing about my boring concerns about uni. But they are real serious concerns. So now let's change the topic. I had been (yes uni again) wonderin about what major to do in commerce. My considerations were accounting, finance, government & international relations and economics. Well, hard choice. When I speak to people, most of them were surprised that I am even considering gcv't & int. relations. I wonder why. Do they not know me well or am i considering a too far-fetched major? after all, politics is not what i could ever pursue (nor do i wanna). But what's wrong with studing gov't policies? oh well, i guess, im perceived to be more of a eco, accounting or finance person? ok. Doesn't matter what others think. Just that im trying to find out what is the best for me. My Dad talked to me and commented on how I need to seriously think about what I wanna do. But i mean...how the hell do i know?...i just dunno. I wanted to do science and had given up on it. (Why was pong ever taken by surprised on MSN some time ago when i told her i missed science or something like that. Do ppl dun understand me toTHAT extent?) Now another important decision here. The only uni subjects i hate atm is information sys (ipt and software crap) and management accounting (a bunch of boring theories..on the contrary, i like financial accounting). According to Dad, accounting is ...'easier' coz..you know it's not as dynamic as eco. But then..each major has it's own potential, goods and bads. Btw, i havn't commented to the election. Liberal won again, yes again. I was immensely disappointed, if not upset, by the result .What da hell were the Australian thinking? So now, human rights issues don't matter? Look at what's happening to our education and health spending! To David Hicks's trial by military courts! Our unjustified invasion into another soverign nation, Iraq, which we had absolutely no right to!!! (to assist the US by sending 2000 troops there? you are kidding!! Not that liberals are all bad. But then, i prefer a change of power which would indiciate that we australians do not agree with the war in Iraq, do not agree with the way the current gov't allocate its funding, do not agree with Howard's favourtism to the rich. The article by...Belinda Campbell(from memory) in this week's usyd magazine was well to the point! I agree with it wholeheartedly!!! |
