| 11 09 03 It seems quite odd of me to be typing here. Most people would be too busy studying. I just want to tell those who wants to know about what i want to say. Yes, ive been to two uni open days. They were okay. Not too pointless, not very helpful. Macq is coming up... The reason ill be going is to escape from the reality of really having to study. Im generally happy with my trial result.:) eco was unexpected..but quite disappointed with ...phy and chem esp phy's quarks. Formal..is now a very interesting topic. :) i had fun envisaging what it would be like. Hopefully, it won't turn out to be another disappointment. What's the most exciting thing..is the sleepover afterwards at sue's place. I ve never had a sleepover with my friends in the past 6 years. Im glad eliz and oli are also coming. I seem to have renewed my friendship with eliz. But it doesn't matter. It's like that. It forms and breaks. |

| 25 09 03 ha...Today was the last day ?of school. Tomorrow will be our graduation day. How...sad? Today's English lesson was a very memorable one. We will miss each other deeply, won't we? I will miss all my teachers at Cheltenham. They are so dedicated (at least some) and...ha, they make us enjoy the lessons with their sense of odd humour. ..I wonder if HSC will pass in a flash. :) ive been "an excellent student". Like a cliche. :) i hope i can uphold my teachers' expectations and really do do well in the hsc..But at the moment, i am really not in the mood to study..too many thoughts..a mix of emotions. I am still thinking about my career in life. Not that i don't like to do scientific research in the lab but i want a bit more involvement in the general community. A compromise..: medicine? It is no doubt an ideal career. Apart from the competitive entry, I do doubt my capability. Not about the course content, but the job. Am i capable of interacting with people like a doctor would? The more options i have, the more confused iam. I want to make a difference in the world. I want to contribute something to make it a fairer more peaceful world. This aim must be shared by many others, not just me. I might end doing economic and/or law. It's a fairly good background to have. On the other hand, I might do medical science or pharmacy or biomedical engineering. Im ruling out acturay now. Ha, how about social science with economics? or a media and communication course thereby doing a bit more on media writings ie english? Ha, i m really surprised and glad to hear Mrs Smith's reaction to what Dena said. She said "I can see Elaine as an Actuary". Mrs Smith screamed "no, what a waste of her english.....unless if an actuary does a lot of reports..." :) It's the sense of achievement, particularly in English--my most hopeless subject. Any suggestions everyone? what do you see me as? Wish me luck in next Thursday's med interview....(still unprepared) |
