| We live in Anchorage, Alaska. I was born here in Anchorage in 1952. I have always been brought up in the out of doors, going fishing, camping & hunting. I love Alaska and all it has to offer an outdoorsman. I thank my parents, Jack & Ruth Jacobson for sharing their love of the wilderness with me and my brother. |

| In the winter or 1995, I had a severe Ice Skating accident, and shattered my right wrist ( being right handed of course ), I had also torn all the ligaments loose and they had to be reattached. I have a T-plate and 3 screws in my wrist now. After I had the accident I thought my art career was over, but I had a great Orthopeadic surgeon, and great Rehabilitation Therapists. With hard work I have been able to get 95% of my motion & strength back it took me about 18 months of labor. I realized I had been given a second chance at being a artist. With the encouragement of my wife Donna, and family, in 1998 I started Snowbound Art Studios. I now combine my love of art, and Alaska. I strivc to create and endow my images with my excitement and the facination I have with Alaska, espccially in the winter when we have a 5 degree angle sun, the colors are a artist's dream. The beauty of Alaskan Scenery and Wildlife has constantly thrilled me all my life. All of these emotions that I feel, I express in my artwork I hope it can stir your emotions as it does mine. My Original paintings are for sale at Stephan Fine Art Galleries in Anchorage, and my prints are available on my website. Donna and I want to thank you for taking the time to explore my website, any comments and suggestions are always appreciated. Above, you will notice the Made In Alaska logo. This is a program sponsored by the State Of Alaska. The Artist must apply for the permit and create his artwork totally in Alaska. All my artwork and prints are created in Alaska. I proudly display my Made In Alaska permit. I could not create and run my business without the support of my wife and family. I owe them a great debt and their love and help is reflected in my artwork. They are my inspiration and strength. I started out doing Portraits for commision. I no longer do Portraits and have dedicated my artwork to Alaskan Themes and Science Fiction & Fantasy. These are what I love to do. I hope you find the artwork interesting and enjoyable. Come and see me at the shows listed on my Current Events Page. |

| My wife has a web page also about her craft business, Alaska Locker Hooking, it is a old rug making artform that has been around for a long time, but not well known in the USA. She wrote the first and most complete book in Locker Hooking:"Locker Hooking With Fabric Strips" and it is available on her website. | ||||||||||||||||||
