This is a public site, the purpose of which is to familiarize the curious with the most basic concepts involving the fundamental types of equipment available. This is a non-commercial site; I am a private individual, with no intention of making any profit of any kind on this site. The observations herein are purely my own and hopefully will be of help to you. Furthermore, any information that I have gained from other sources I have tried my best to give credit to below.
Transword Snowboarding and Snowboard Life has been a great source of information regarding tuning, waxing, and board construction (Most of the information on the Tuning & Waxing page, as well as quite a bit of information on the Board Construction page was compiled from a series of well written articles (How Boards Are Made: What's Inside Your Stick September 17, 1997, Wax, Just Don't Bite It By Matt Cummins November 1, 1999, Wax Wisdom By Chris Doyle November 17, 1999, and The Right Wax November 1, 1999) found on Transworld Snowboarding's online site Snowboarding-online.com).
I Would also Like to give credit to Snowboarder Magazine (snowboardermag.com), the supplement "Snowboarder Buyer's Guide 1999" was an incredible source of information (All of the images on the Board Construction page and the Board Sizing and Shape page were taken from this issue. The pictures can be found on pages 6-8.) Most of the Board Sizing and Shape page was created or based on a compilation of both the information that I have personaly gathered in my four seasons working in a ski/board shop and from the information found in the "Snowboarder Buyer's Guide 1999" which was a supplement in Snowboarder Magazine.
